KT Rolster's former Zerg ace Luxury has been excluded from the SWL 09-10 Grand Final player roster.
In the roster announced on the 30th, Manager Lee only included 4 coaches and 10 players, with Luxury not included in the list.
Manager Lee said, "Luxury's health situation has gotten worse, which has affected his playing ability. Right now he is on sabatical. MBC is not known for its zerg lineup, therefore I think it is suitable for Luxury to take some rest for now."
Right now, Luxury has been combatting health problems, which has negatively affected his practice and level of play. Therefore, he has left the team house, and is at home resting.
Manager Lee said, "We'll let him rest during the Final, when he will back depends on the speed of his recovery."

Question is:
sAviOr is having a knee problem
Luxury is sick
Bisu is having stress issues
So: what the heck is going on with the korean pro scene the many players are being affected with healthy problems?? A reality?? An excuse to a brutal slump??

His grandma is quite sick, not him

What the heck is wrong with players recently. Bisu is out because hes in a slump. Hwasin had to go out because his grandmother was sick. Savior has a knee operation and now Luxury and his health condition. Next I bet you will be JaeDong.
|
God eventually got sick of 3 hatchs hydras, 5 pool, one hatch lurks and he has decided to punish the zerg race.
Savior, Luxury... i think JD is next. Hmm nah probably Yellow now that i think about his style.

They're all playing SC2Beta, obviously.

Well at least we don't have players pulling a Silent_Control and passing out on stage due to illness. Better this than having players being pushed to the absolute brink. They may have grueling practice hours, but it seems as a whole coaches are somewhat more aware and considerate to these issues.

3 = "so many"?
I'm sorry but 3 is hardly an epidemic to be worried about. Things happen, people get sick/injured.

lol they work 100 hour weeks. it's only natural that they die off after a # of years. there are only a few careers that have such ridiculous time constraints and none of them last 5+ years like progaming (and the others pay better too)

it just shows how unsustainable the krn system is to the general health of these players. they want to be the best but they can't if they their bodies cannot function! this has been a growing problem for a long, long time. perhaps if more players come forward with their problems, some sort of action might take place from the resulting injuries.

Its not like KT has a shortage of mediocre zergs. Although I will miss the inevitable luxury all in.

^ 1st april is tomorrow :>

Anyway, Flash is still there. That's all that matters.
|
Bisu, Savior and Luxury are all in slump trying to regain their form by too much practice. Maybe they sacrifice their health too much to get back in winning form. Hope they will recover and be successful again
|
I swear to god this isn't an April 1st joke =_= Jaedong was hospitalized before the seminar which was on the 28~29th i think, so...
|
|
Wow. Hopefully they both end up recovering well. ._.
|
Holy shittt this is terrible I wish they both have a painless and speedy recovery!!!
|
i think it's kinda like how iverson had a "back problem" when he ultimately got benched and left detroit, or how he had to deal with "personal issues" when he got indefinitely suspdended from phily
|
Wait Jaedong too? Any information on Jaedong's hospitilization?
|
Whoa, can someone confirm JD's lower intestinal problems?
|
zerg player plague
|
|
Poor Luxury.
Who cares about JD.
|
Sucks about Lux's health, but nobody was really expecting him for the SWL finals.
|
Well, not a huge loss to KT for the finals given the level of his play recently. But I hope he will get back to the top form some time...
BTW, both Lux and Yarnc sux these days...

Is anyone else seeing a connection between poor health and 12 hours of starcraft per day?

Lux could play some really good ZvT at one point, that would be useful for Sea/Light. And Hyun's not that big of a deal when Flash's TvZ is 90+%.
|
815 is an excellent ZvZ player, he should be able to take out HyuN if necessary. fOrGG/Flash are both excellent vZ as well.
Get well soon Luxury (and Jaedong/Hwasins grandma/sAviOr)

Wow, e\/ery one is falling to pieces suddenly ....

His late game ZvT has never been that good imo.

WOW, this is not zerg season...

I mean, either way Flash just has to win three or four games... Just kidding though, hope Lux recovers soon! (Gosh what's happening to these guys lately...)

Progamers are dropping like flies wtf
|
wow, lots of progamers getting sick nowadays.
|
I think it's kind of foolish that the only response players have to being in a slump is practice more. The coaches really need to come up with a better approach. Maybe even get outside help from sports psychologists.
|
Zergs gonna secretly meet up and strategize. Then create a new swarm season.

I really agree with this, especially if you're slumping for a not so obvious reason. Alright, if you're mechanics have gotten sloppy, its probably just a matter of focusing and spending more time to bring them back up to speed. However, if we're dealing with other problems in gameplay or mindgames, practicing like a maniac when you don't neccessarily know the problem can ingrain/reinforce whatever the problem actually is.
Sometimes when your in a slump you need to take some time away, clear your head, then come back and try to evaluate what was going wrong, and how you can fix those issues. Also slumps are sometimes confidence issues and practicing while your playing poorly only makes you less confident and more hesitant in your play.

FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!!!!!! the sick season has begun.

I don't think they release that until Thursday.

Oh no ! Me-thinks the Zerg players had one too many irradiate cast on them... I hope they get better soon! Even though I'm a Terran fan at heart, one cannot enjoy battles without the Voracious Zergs!
