Idea stolen from Grobyc :D

Anyways, this is the first game I played during the Racewars. It's a TvZ on Othello; I spawn at 7:00 as a red Terran (the best race ofc) and Atrioc spawns on 10:00 as a purple Zerg (they cheated to win racewars, I swear it...)

I scout him on my first try (I probably should've blocked his expo here):

Pretty standard, right?

NOPE! At this point I've decided that (since I don't know how good the Zerg is and because his build looks like a standard 3hatch muta) I'm going to cheese. I learned this build awhile ago. It's pretty simple: 1 rax fe, then build 3 more raxes, then get stim and kill the sunkens. Epic plan, gogo~

I copied this build from Ayumi. It's supposed to roll 3hatch mutas.

One slight problem:

This build also gets scanners just a bit late...

See the red line on the minimap?

They're supposed to break down the sunkens a couple of seconds before the mutas hatch.

Well, I forgot that I didn't have range yet (I think I forgot to get it all game x_X), but I tried to pull a boxer anyways:

If you can't tell, I cut a just a few scvs for this build...

Counter-lurkers mode (I think I spent all my excess gas here so I couldn't get range, and then I forgot to pick it up later :[ )~

I assume he's taken a third at this point, so I send out scouter SCVs (gotta save my scans), one of which finds this:

Can't let him run on three gases, now can I?

He decides to go and attack my main (I probably shouldn't have moved out, eh?)

Tanks counter lurkers. I'm definately gonna win this fight.

His lurkers are in my main at this point (and all two of my vessels died to scourge), so I decide to go in for a last-ditch counter.

I swear I brought some medics..

What I learned from this game:
I am not Boxer
Turtle harder
Scout for counters
Turtle harder
Lurkers and Queens are imba

I'll upload all the replays after I finish off the battle-reports for the rest of the set

The 4rax works decently vs 3 hatch lurks too, you just attack a bit earlier or you contain outside. The problem is that your economy is kinda shitty from cutting scvs though.

Oh, and you failed us too...I knew I should have taken you out when I saw you in op tl-west yesterday!
