Sidewinder. Best mouse I have used to far.
|
ive had a G1 for 2 years and its been good

I use MX518, it's a good mouse. It's big and not so small like most razer mouses for example.

I use G3 when I play SC. I have no problems with it. The side buttons are indeed very annoying, so I just have them disabled, and it works just fine. Doesn't G1 have identical shape as G3 (minus the side buttons)? I'd get G1 if that is the case.
I also have G5, which I don't like nearly as much for SC. I prefer smaller computer mice I guess.

Razor and Logitech are both good brands for gaming mouses, imo. Don't get something that is like super expensive though. Try to spend about $15~$25 for a logitech mouse if your looking to get one of those.

Razer Lachesis imo
Had it about 6-7 months now, and I am still in love with it

Microsoft Intellimouse Explorer is good for me, I play all games with it.
Find a 1.0 version if you can though, I doubt you would be able to though

I know this isn't the answer the OP is looking for but i suggest trying a razer mouse. I have a Razer Krait and it's sooooo bad-ass. Not even as small as some people say, I've had smaller O.o

Razer DeathAdder is beautifully comfortable.

I have a Razer Diamondback that I picked up about two years ago now, and it's still working flawlessly. The extra buttons were great when I was playing WoW, though they see minimal use now - you hit them with your thumb, and the only other use I've seen for them is they're set as Page Forward/Backward in Firefox, which is useful enough, I suppose. The mouse performs amazingly, and was way too fast for me when I first plugged it in, that I had to bump the sensitivity all the way down, and it's still pretty fast. The blue lighting complements my computer, and the other few colors it comes in look pretty damn good too (the red is sexy as hell).
I paid $50 for it two years ago, so you could probably get it cheaper now, or a better model. I'd highly recommend it though. I'd definitely buy a Razer mouse over a Logitech any day, but I have a passionate hate for Logitech products.

I have two Razer Kraits and a G3. I have to say both are extremely comfortable but I like the Kraits more because they just seem smoother and more reactive. G3 is by far one of the best mice I use though. Krait has nothing on G3 when it comes to reliability T_T

IntotheWow..
I believe G5 will suit you the best, u'll feel like a man.
MX518 is really solid mouse, FPS, RTS cant go wrong with that too..

ill just add my question in here as well. What are the best mice that are big, as in Diamond 3G big for gaming? I prefer bigger mice.

MX518. As someone with humongous hands like myself, I find this mouse to be perfect for playing a variety of different games (including Starcraft).
+ Show Spoiler +You know what they say about guys with big hands...

id recommend a razer diamondback, ive been using one since like 3 years.. the only downside is that it usually breaks after 1 year(i read an above poster saying that hes had his diamondback since 2 years so it might be because i abuse my mouse too much)
adjustement-wise the first 1-2 weeks is hard but once you get used to it.. you know how the saying goes + Show Spoiler +once you go diamonback you never go back

It really depends on what sensitivity you play on. If you play with a very sensitive mouse you probably should get a razer mouse/logitech gaming but if you play on low sensitivity all that extra dpi doesn't really matter that much.

Mouse: MX510(if you can still find it) or MX518 Mousepad: QPAD!!! So smooth!
