A customer came into my work the other day and was telling me all about it and to sign up or something. Seems like some kind of Amway pseudo pyramid scheme thing.

My dad always said there is the rule of 3s when job hunting, for every 9 places you apply, 3 will call you back, and 1 will interview and hire you.
I wouldn't suggest a supermarket or a fast food place as the work is really tiring and annoying (customers and even bosses are dumb shits at this level of job). If you can, get a job as a waiter or maybe a telemarketer/sales where if you apply yourself you can actually make more money.
There are guide/tips for waiters to make more tips, same kind of sales techniques as anything really- selling yourself to the customer is what brings in the dough (no I don't mean prostitution).
