Hello all!

Recently I've been really taken with the idea of creating my own building triggers using Day[9]'s systematic approach.

Trigger, If he goes 1gate-sair into expo.

I decided that I wanted to use hydralisks with +1 attack and speed. I also decided that I wanted the game to go on as long as possible because of the amount of macro protosses loses by not going FE. I also decided that went it comes time to take his third and forth that my hive should already be done along with drop.

The evolution of a building trigger in 4 games.

So using seans advice I decided on four things I wanted at the exact same time , +1attack-speed-range-overlord speed

This game I decided that instead of two dens I would get a faster spire for scourge along with drop so that when protoss feels the need to move out and attack my 3rd and forth I would have lurker/scourge defending while I dropped his main

This is the finished product of my building trigger at the C level of iccup. Complete domination begining to end knowing everyone of his moves and all the while layin a solid foundation for good upgrades/drop/ultra/ling and of course 8 hats

I really loved Day's thread also.

I'm sure each of us has built at least a simple trigger many times in his starcraft career, but noone really realized the true potential of this idea.

Adds a nice scientific touch to starcraft, and is just as cute as it's useful.

My goal in doing triggers on my own is to explore the delicate timings of upgrades-drone saturation-macro(population) in relation to set possiblities.

I think the most important thing I learned from this is that +1 attack needs to be about 17-22% done in order to coincide with hydra grades and that it must be started at 35% of a lair timing in order to arrive when speed does.

I think those types of spatial reasonings make playing standard 5hat zerg eco easier, although I noticed for me to be precise with my timings and such that I had to move much much slower then I'm accustomed to in order to avoid build mistakes.

On another note I do not listen to music or broodwar music and I play the volume on low, so while I'm testing these things I actually listen to days audios.

ZvT playing "How to win with an advantage" in your ears has won me at least 4-5 games straight out.

Sean thank you so much, I always knew are approach to the game was different (back in 2002-03) but I didn't realize how clearly you knew how to formulate your insane builds.

I still remember your crazy 2 hat lurker - lin - 3 hat muta - take third - hive-gaurdian/hydra/lurker/scourge/ling strats from the lost temple days =). Or when you set out to have 300 apm =). <3 right back at ya!
