I think I have it enabled on my desktop (which is what I play bw on). Turning on enhanced mouse precision means that you're turning on acceleration. Personally, I like acceleration off because it feels more accurate that way. Oh right that's why.

Enhanced precision feels like the pointer accelerates during fast movements and decelerates (more than usual) when moving slowly.

But in the case of RTS, like StarCraft, you are playing on one screen, and it will stay the same size, and everything will have the same general magnitude in distance, size, etc. For this, one scale for moving your mouse is far more precise.

I'm not sure I've ever heard of a competitive FPS player who uses mouse acceleration. One of the epic fails (among many) in Unreal Tournament 3 is that it uses mouse acceleration by default, with no way to turn it off in the UI (you have to edit config files). What the hell were they thinking?

It's obviously better to have this on since you usually drag faster when you want to move further (and would then speed up). But it takes a really long time to learn it so you can be accurate with it.

http://counterstrikesourcetactics.blogspot.com/2008/05/delights-muscle-memory.html Accelleration will stop you from gaining muscle memory (since the same action twice does not move the same distance). Some professional Quake 3 players (like cooller, for example) used very low accelleration, to the point that it was insignificant, unless he flicked his mouse rapidly to do a 180 or something (because he has low sensitivity). TL;DR DON'T EVEN FUCKING THINK ABOUT USING ACCELLERATION
