I quit fairly recently. I proved to myself I could still play in season 5 and then just sorta stopped for good.

Quit my job for 2yrs just to play WoW and maximum hours online was 72hrs(3days) without sleep I wasn't in the top 3 arena teams, but in the top % which rewards me with the title - Challenger. (Though i prefer the title - Duelist!) It's hard to find people within my timezone to play arena with me, I'm from Singapore and on a North America server. And ever since i'm with Razer, i spent more time on work then WoW so... i have not got a chance to try Season 5 (Damn, still in s4 gears now!)

We are now on the same timezone and Steve has the skills! (I can't tolerate playing with people who doesn't know what to do in arenas!)

I understand your situations because i did that to my family too, haha!!! My brother would shut down the electricity in the whole god damn house to make me leave my room! I used to be a hardcore PvPer during the good old original days of WoW. When BC came out I switched more to raiding. Arenas, Battlegrounds and Resilience all ruined PvP for me since I was born and raised on world PvP. They just can't recreate the rush of world encounters on a stage, IMO. I ended up liking raiding though, my guild was ranked 2nd or 3rd Horde side most of the time and I was the rogue class leader before I quit. Before the new talent patch that basically nerfed everything we got 2 bosses into Sunwell, which I was always proud of considering we were very casual (no DKP, no harsh rules, ect.) I was also first in line for Warglaives (I play a rogue and always have/always will) but missed the night the first and only one dropped doh! Once WotLK came out I stopped playing entirely for a month or two. I'm a notoriously bad leveler (and extremely lazy overall!) and going from being endgame geared back to the leveling rat race again kinda ruined my motivation to play. I recently started playing again though, mostly cause I missed all the friends I made. Everyone's 80 now so I can take my time leveling, doing whatever without getting ganked over and over. At least my T6 will last til level 80 for the most part. TLTR: Eredar, Horde side, hit me up :p Main: Colphyle Alts: Conflict, Vain.

I really believe that is it up to that individual. You can get yourself sucked into the game if you're a loner or don't mix around with friends often. For me, i think it's normal rather then addictive. I don't mix with friends alot...its either work or home. I'm bored with the clubs/pubs/discos in Singapore.. hate heavy weekend crowds.. hate driving on the road with traffic jams.. hate paying for expensive alcohol(I really miss the 1 euros beer in Barcelona) probably just hate stupid noobs(humans?) =X But in World of Warcraft, you get to choose the players whom you want to mix with and you feel invincible killing other enemy players with your wow-friends. And we talk about pc gaming peripherals, new games and whatever we feel like chatting about. I could never find a person in a disco that loves pc gaming like i do. It marks down to a person's hobby/likes & dislikes too i think. No offense to what i have mentioned.. but do comment if you have your own views. I'm a pvper too. I was super well versed when TBC came until WOTLK ruin my wow-life. Work has caused me to become a wow noob again.. there are so much contents in WOTLK that i have to read on.. and the talents change.. the nerfs... omfg, BLIZZARD I HATE YOU! (But i LOVE Blizzard at the same time, it's a love and hate affair) And now they removed resilience again.. I'm at 520 resi and my gears(s4) are obviously usless for pvp now. Missed the good old days of world pvp. Eh, hard to hook you up on your server as i can't transfer my toon. My friends are all on my server and including real life friends. ^^ But if you do drop by my server, say HI to me! :D USA Server Realm: The Forgotten Coast Faction: Horde Race: Bloodelf Class: Priest / Paladin Name: Eminence (78) / Eminencia (70) On March 05 2009 17:39 erin[go]bragh wrote: Haha I used to be a WoW fanatic. When Warhammer was launched, i got it to try the game features and mechanisms.. finished the one month free play and i didn't activate the account till now. Unlike my WoW account, it's linked to the credit card and it auto renews the subscription every six months! I'm still loving it though i play alot lesser due to work.
