So the other day I was in an ice cream shop waiting in line. In front of me was this black lady who already had a half-eaten ice cream sundae in her hand. When she got to the the desk, she complained about her Sundae and demanded a new one. Her complaint?
"There's too much hot fudge on it."
WUUUT
Being what I thought was a rational human being, I assumed the ice cream shop clerk would say something along the lines of "TOUGH SHIT LADY" or something, but get this: He apologized, giving her the excuse that it was only his 2nd day on the job (apparently he made the sundae for her}, and said "Yeah I guess the problem is that I put too much hot fudge on it and not enough caramel." They gave her a brand new sundae and threw the half-eaten one away.
America: Land of excess hot fudge

ahahahahaha. i guess he didnt want trouble. its much easier to just give her another one than to spend the entire day arguing with a stupid customer.

Good story, tell it at parties.
|
wtf, she probably long time customer there, saw the new guy taking advantage of him.
|
I would expect her to say "there's not enough fudge on this" rather than the other way around.

This is standard protocol really. I remember this guy eating a burger at McDonalds and going to complain: Guy - "Ugh it's too salty." Manager - "You ate the entire thing but one bite?" G - "Yea this last bite was so salty." M - "So, what do you want me to do to fix it? You want another one?" G - "Yea how 'bout a chicken burger this time." M - "..." Gives it to him.
Customer's always right

Definitely not worth a blog post. The customer is always right. Now she will leave feeling happy instead of mad about her sundae, whether or not there was too much hot fudge on it. It's just good business practice. And seriously, why did you have to say she was black, are you trying to imply that black people complain more? Racism GTFO.

Yeah in high school I worked at Quiznos and it was always so fucking obvious when a customer is trying to scam us into giving them stuff. It would be funny whenever someone tried to scam us when the owner was working the register, because he never fucking took that shit from anyone.

Well if the person doesnt do this often he is most probaply a good customer or a future customer. However if this would happen to often he would most likely get the boot

Isn't the hotfudge like on top of the sundae?
So she ate all the hotfudge and then complained? Wow..

You can get prettymuch anything you want from a company if you bitch and moan at them enough...
More fun ripoff strategies: I've never done it, but next time you're at a fast food place, go through the drivethru, order a bunch of crap, get your stuff, then go back through and say they forgot 'X' items. They'll 'replace' them for you and you get free stuff.
Another good ripoff strategy, which I've also never done, is to buy something from a store which you already own, but is broken. Replace the broken item with the store bought one, and bring it back to the store to get your money back.
lol, I couldn't bring myself to ever do either of these.

When I saw the topic and then you said the black lady in the ice cream shop I thought you were gonna say you fucked her or something

You're the one calling it a "fact."
I think it's common for people to put a descriptive term or two on people they don't know. Instead of "this person," most people will say "this old guy" or "this dumb whore" or whatever the situation calls for.
|
Well you are right that using the expression "trying to hint at the fact that" when I was trying to say "trying to imply" was stupid, so I just edited my post.
But I still think it's racist to tag on on a person's race unnecessarily when you are telling a story about how stupid you think the person is.
|
Might as well say he's sexist too because he unnecessarily tagged on her gender too!
|
it's just being descriptive
some types of people do it more than others, and you can't help that despite how politically correct you want the world to be -_-
|
are you trying to say that you think black people do it more than other people?
