I haven't touched FL in like a year, but before that, I used it for around 3 years. It's pretty powerful, and really intuitive. I think the toughest part is setting up your instruments. After that, usually playing around in the piano roll and listening to everything on repeat will allow you to think of things that make a complete song.

Megaman 3 Intro song: [url blocked] Portal: [url blocked] Terran Song(very short): [url blocked] Fire Emblem Song: [url blocked] and the first thing i did with the program after tinkering [url blocked] It goes in order from bottom to top oldest to newest and the newest is still like a year ago XD lol Well Yeah FL Studio is way more powerful than anything that is up there^ and ive really been learning a lot about it lately like for example the SCRATCHER is awesome! So yeah i have a lot of experience with FL Studio, i can probably answer most or all questions you have about it EDIT: Sorry for using megaupload it can be a pain =/

Here's a pretty good example of writing complicated sounding stuff even if you aren't slick with the piano roll or if you don't have a keyboard + Show Spoiler + What you write depends a lot on what genre's of music you like. There's a lot of software I tried out but that one works the best for me. There's a lot of potential for what you write if you like messing around with VSTi's to get quirky sounds but what you get with XXL is sexy. Some VSTi's out there make writing stuff easier depending on what you like. I listen to a lotbreakcore and drill 'n bass (the Flashbulb if anyone knows who that is) so I use a lot of DBlue Glitch, even though the consensus is that only newbs use it. Billy10's probably a lot more experienced than I am, but that's just what I've been doing with with it. I actually write my stuff on midi-guitar and keyboard so what I say might not work for most people, though.

Basshunter ![]() To get some solid knowledge of music producing start with the mechanics i.e. Reason is much better if you actually want to learn stuff, and the layout is nice because your knowledge translates over to hardware smoothly, provided you ever want to go that far....

http://www.myspace.com/hybrock - That was all done in Fruity Loops and is pretty simplistic actually. Very simplistic. I just need to get my copy back. Stupid HDD crashes. -.- Edit - bad link -.-
