It's maybe $50/year if you are an adult and $30/year if you're 21 or under. Then there's freechess.org as the main free alternative I can think of. There are probably a lot of good free options though. | ||

i use to play there before quitting, you can play from short half an hour games to long, 14 day per move games and anything in between. I really liked it | ||
