All That Remains is metalcore, no? I refuse to put Trivium and ATR in the same category. Every Trivium song I've ever heard is trash, whereas ATR had me from song one (The Air that I Breathe... which isn't even one of their best songs, imo).
I think the third video in OP is "Ruin" by Lamb of God, purely because it's green and the drummer looks like Adler right before Blythe says "this is the iron hand // this is the revolution" or something like that. Oh, god, I miss their old sound. The new stuff is okay (wtf is Redneck doing as a single when Requiem and Descending were so much better), but Gospel and BtP were amazing.
Listened to some "classic heavy metal"... It's kinda meh to me. I can dig Pantera, and I can probably tolerate all that other stuff, but my dad used to always play Black Sabbath... geh.

Well deep bass/guitar usually = doom metal; some death metal has it too. Thick tones :o
