This is mostly directed towards you football intrested europeans on this site, since i know very few americans even cares or knows much about football.

Is there any real internationall football community at this moment? If so, please link.

But would you actually be intrested in joining one and sort of broaden your football knowledge and get involved in a community with everything that it means.

I have the word doc in swedish so im too lazy to translate.

But basicly - a website that is aimed at user interaction and user submitted content.
Users will be able to blog, write articles and news. Rating and popularity will give given user points and give their content a place on the frontage. Weekly updates from the major leagues/CL/UEFA by the admins. Video section, same system as articles/blogs/news. Tifo section, also same system as previously mentioned. If the user does a good job, he gets rewarded with points and a place in the spotlight.

There'll also be "fake betting" like you do here or at fragbite.se, where you bet on all major matches and recieve or lose points from it. And each month a winner gets chosen which is the guy who collected the most points from betting right the most amount of times.

Much like the "fake betting" the users who have the most popular content will also be chosen as the monthly winner and a spot in the hall of fame section of the site.

Users will be able to create their own fanclubs and groups. Users will have their own profile, PMS system and guestbooks. Users will be able to choose their own skin of the website to match their favorite team.

I love football and discussing about it with foreingers on some active community site is an awesome idea. Go for it man !

The problem with football is that it's absolutely done to death.
Just pick up any newspaper in the UK and the back 10 pages are full of nonsense about football.... everyone talks about it all the time.
Turn on Sky Sports and there's always some football on of some sort.

This website works so well because of the novelty of pro-gaming and an international community that shares a common interest.
With football, everyone has their strong favourites already, throw in national pride and it's not going to make for much constructive posting.

So you don't think it would be intresting for lets say a guy from italy or spain to find out about the swedish fans-culture, as its ranked top10 in the world? Or to discuss history of certain leagues and foreigners who succeeded in other countries, what did it mean to them? Whats their view on this and that league/country.

And i do think that fans can have constructive discussion, but the site will be more about sharing your experiences and comparing different leagues, random xfer talk and prematch talk etc.

I really don't think the people that would use this site are as one-sided in their opinions as you make it sound like. There are actually a great number of people who actually has a general intrest in football ^^

You don't actually learn much about the other leagues when reading the newspapers or following a normal net magazine, all you see is who scored and if anything stood out. No indepth analysis or actual intresting information about the leagues themselves.

I dont think it would be a bad idea. But maybe it should be something more than just a community where you talk about the big teams. It could be also for amateur players themselves where they can talk about soccer skills, learning, tourneys etc. of their level and region.
For instance, it could help students who are going abroad (erasmus for instance) to find a place or some people to play with. I myself am planning going abroad for a year and something like that would be really helpful.
