It feels so shitty, when after putting in so much time and effort at bw, you realize that you still sucks at it.
Today's another lousy ICCUP day for me, losing many games due to silly mistakes. The game of Brood War has too many variables. It demands constant analysis and evaulation from the players while also demand constant control and micromanagement at the same time. I myself am handicapped at quick thinking. Often in game I become too engrossed in the current action that i forgot the fundamentals of the game. The problem is magnified by playing zerg, which unlike other race has the onus to "lead the play".
Anyone else experiencing road blocks in bw?

yea.. for a while I was stuck at C- but then I upgraded my training regimen to 8 hours a day from 4.. and now I'm B
I would advise you if you're having trouble improving to put in at least 12-14 hours a day for a few weeks, also make sure you eat healthy and spend some of your excess time exercising or sleeping

As ridiculous as this sounds it's probably true rofl...
I honestly don't think being zerg makes you worse off overall, but I'm sure in specific applications it does. If a problem of yours is silly mistakes and balancing doing many different things, then both of those can be taken care of with additional practice and a positive mindset.

LOL either you are joking, or just unreal. Seriously, who has 13hours to invest into broodwar each day? School / Work / life would most certainly be in the way.
You just need to analyze your own weaknessess and address them 1 at a time. Who cares if you lose the game. A typical example for me as a terran player is. I concentrate on 1 matchup, tvz, and then concentrate on doing 1rax fast expansion. I also make sure I am adding my factory and starport at the proper times. this leads to me not paying attention to my units sometimes, but for now, Im just trying to make sure I have the right timings for the typical 2 groups of m/m 3 tanks and 1 vessel.
Basically, set aside somethings, and focus on your weaker points. Watch your replays and see how its coming along. You need to take an active role in improvement, as opposed to just playing lots of games. If you are blindly playing games, and doing the same mistakes over and over, then its pointless. Figure out where you are failing, and start fixing it.

Mechanics and Scouting
That's all there is to it, seriously. Don't worry about sneaky plays or micro tricks, just go hardcore on your mechanics and scout really well

Make sure to FE and de up 10-20 canons at each base. Never attack or try to finish the game, they will kill themselves.

Just take it one match at a time. The more playing you do, the less silly mistakes that you'll have.

Off race. Get a feel for the mechanics of the other races, that way you can understand why they attack when they attack. It will make your timing a lot better. Other than that crank mechanics. My useless two cents lol
