It's not like I haven't had alcohol before. I've actually had a lot to drink since in China its basically legal for all ages, waiters offered to pour my 14 year old brother beer all the time. I've had pretty much every type of alcohol there is from 6 proof all the way to 106+, korean, japanese, chinese, german, french...ect. It basically just tastes worse and worse the higher proof is it. So my question for TL is: When do you drink/How Much/Why?/Do you recommend it?   | ||

if its a thursday, friday, saturday, then get drunk. how drunk you get depends on the circumstances. i've never blacked out or not remembered something so idk about that. but it makes it way easier to socialize. | ||

When there are girls of your Highschool all around, it pretty much lower your chance of getting laid  . Before = drinking days Now = the last year When? Before: Almost every week / twice a week. Now: Once every 3 months, maybe more? (If I had to average it out I guess?) How much? Before: Too much to the point I thought I could out-drink almost anyone except those crazy mother fuckers. Now: I nurse a 3-10 drinks now depending on how long I am drinking for. Why? Before: I did it because it was immensely fun and everyone I knew was at parties drinking. Met/made a lot more friends etc. Now: I don't because it is not as fun as what I love to do. (It's like paying to do something you don't enjoy that much now). (I've lost / am out of touch with a lot of friends etc. lol )Do I recommend it? Before: ASIOPDFJGJIASDFG. YES, AND LET'S DO CRAZY SHIT TOO. (What retards we were). Now: Yeah, but be responsible about it. Only do it if you really like it. It's got a lot of ups with meeting new people. And is just good for any school experience to make new friends. Now I'm just a social drinker by chance rather than by choice. Side note: I don't get people who say they can't remember shit from the night before though. Or people who say, "if you can remember stuff from the night before you haven't drank enough." I dunno maybe it's just different strokes for different folks and some people just honestly don't remember stuff when they drink. Anyway, go to some parties, if you like it, sure keep drinking and know where you want to be. If you don't like it, wtf are you doing there? Give a few different scenes a chance though. Do what you want to in life and know what you like to do. That's about it. Unless you want tips on like, no empty stomache / don't drink too much too fast / don't mix your liquors (too much sometimes it's pretty inevitable)... | ||

The effects are also comparable, though alcohol will make you shed your social inhibitions, and weed is more of an experience amplifier. | ||

This freshman is on the right track, however, he forgot about the other four drinking days! All I can really say is learn your limits, don't overdue it. Some of the worst drunks I ever had were when I was about 17 and under... (excluding Sat., when UGA lost. Fuck.) There's a fine line between being a pussy who can't hold is liquor and being the retard who everyone has to babysit because he's pissing himself in the corner. Be somewhere in the middle. | ||

It basically just tastes worse and worse the higher proof is it. I find the exact opposite. I'll drink low % stuff, but I would never pay for it. Anythings less that 40% requires serious effort. It will also stay in your system longer and make sobering up a pain in the ass, and give you increased chance of a hangover. I've never been hung over from just drinking something 40%. Don't drink to the point you won't remember stuff... That's stupid. You won't even be able to socialize because you'll be focused on trying to making the room stop spinning and keeping yourself from vomiting. You'll also have to go to the bathroom every 5 minutes. Beer just sucks all around if you wanna get shit done. If you just want a brewski for the sake of having one, it's fine, but it either won't do anything, or you'll need to drink so much you feel like shit that next day. So I guess I agree with you on the latter, but as far as controlling your level of drunkeness... Sips from 40%, bottles from 5%. Control is pretty equal if you're smart about it. There's too many cheap ass wines for that to be true at all... I like to eat anytime I drink, just cause the experience feels more complete, but I don't find there to be anything sacred about any particular type of alcohol...
