PC vs Console in terms of competitive gaming is basically irrelevant, esp with the advent of advanced online gaming protals lead by xbox live that has closed the gap for ease of access for high lv competition. Each medium has it's share of true gosus and absolute morons. I suppose so, but in general when a pc gamer meets a console gamer, and there both average i say pc gamer wins

Anyhow, if you're looking at the platform itself rather than the games, the only substantial difference comes from the methods of input. Most PC games are designed around having mouse/keyboard input. Most console games are designed around having that console controller for input. This means the PC can support RTS games (lol at SC64?) and very arguably FPS better. For a turn-based strategy game, it doesn't really matter what the input is, so both do well. Same for RPG for the most part, etc. You can go through all the genres, how the games are designed around the inputs, and the like. In terms of the content of the games, it's just a Western/Eastern developer war for the most part.

Simple fighting games like SC take about a day to learn the combo's and then you're a pro. There are only a few select games that are competitive for console like halo and the only reason it is so popular is because its the only good multiplayer based fps. So more buttons = harder to master? Since when do fighting games take a day to master. ![]() You never heard of fighting game competitions?
