First of all, metal is the genre I'm interested in the most.
So let's scroll through my favorite bands:
Behemoth:
Both black and death metal albums (from Grom to Apostasy).
Behemoth's music is so powerful, vile and agressive that it's hard not to kneel before it's might. Both songs' structure and lyrics are flawless.
Mgła (it means Fog in Polish):
One of the best underground black metal projects I've ever heared. Sometimes they sound like Darkthrone on Transilvanian Hunger, but Mgła is much much more - trance, a little melancholic and melodic but still evil. And what's more - although it has satanic amtosphere, in their lyrics there's no "Satan" word! It's truly exceptional.
Hardcore Superstar:
Hard rock/glam metal/whatever. They just ROCK. Nothing more to say.
Volbeat:
Oh my god. Elvis live! And plays metal. Just check on youtube song named "The garden's tale" - outstanding, really. In Volbeat you can find everything: metal, rock, country - just listen to it and get carried away.
Marduk:
Ahhhh, panzer division. They're so good, so brutal that I can sometimes hardly believe it's black metal. Now that Mortuus replaced Legion on vocals they're music is even more powerful. And with better compositions, their latest album was absolutely crushing.
Revelation of Doom/Azarath:
I put those bands together, because they both play very brutal and agressive black/death metal. They should place a "Satan Inside" mark on their CD cases. Very addicting music.
Well, I don't listen to metal only. I really like classical music and operas as they help me relax and focus my attention (not mentioning it's just beautiful music). Suprisingly I like r 'n' b or similiar, because this music is just sexy and it's nearly impossible to not admire atmosphere that some artists create (like Timbaland's Scream - that's HOT).
Of course there's hell lot of other bands I like (Alice Cooper, Kat and so on).
Oh, I've forgotten to mention electronic:
Suicide Commando, CombiChrist, VAC and Panzer AG - it's great piece of aggrotech/synthpop/whatever.
Well, now it's pretty much everything I like in music :D.
