2.) My headphone jack on my computer is fucked up. I have to wiggle the plug around to get the sound to come in both ears. A slight move will mess it up. Its an internal problem, not a headphone problem. Has anyone had a similar problem? is it fixable? is it a DIY? 3.) Whats your favorite color?  | ||

2) had similar problems with various electronics; dont have a solution except to not move it somehow (hard for headphones). tape? buy new hardware? 3) i like the combination of green and black | ||

i've had similar issues regarding headphones except it's always been the headphones themselves that were the problem, so i don't know how to help you. blue/black. | ||

2. You can try tweaking the wires, but it may not have the desired effect (read: may screw it up entirely). 3. Green/Blue, but it depends on the patterns. Or, if we're talking MTG, White/Blue control ftw :D | ||

#2: the contact on the inside of the audio jack became corroded. you could wash it out with acetone or alcohol, scrub it with a q-tip, whatever. that'll fix it for a couple months after which it will become oxidized again. (this is why they sell gold-plated contacts with quality audio electronics - gold is very stable and won't corrode) #3: black | ||

However, it's also less fuel efficient to switch to neutral going downhill (depending on the type of car you have), because fuel is still used to keep the engine "idling". When you leave your car in gear, and your foot is off the accelerator you will not be using any fuel. Also, if you're in a hybrid, switching to neutral will stop your car battery recharging from the engine turning over. So.. while switching to neutral isn't necessarily bad for your car, it's not good for fuel efficiency. | ||

2. for my minidisc player, the contacts got pushed to the side so i couldn't do anything about it (though i didn't know about the oxidizing thing, so that might be the problem actually). what i did to compensate was pull the jack halfway out so that it would contact one of the ears and I'd get mono in both ears... after a while that didn't work either. 3. to above: green black AND blue! HA! | ||

1.) My car is an automatic. Dunno if that changes nething. 2.) Headphone thing is on the left side of my laptop (yeah, its a laptop not a desktop so taking it apart may be tough) 3.) In computer science we did a poll and blue came out on top. The professor said it was that way in every class he ever did. I voted green tho.. Wonder what that says about brood war players (...the plot thickens) | ||
