Last week was final week, and during my bio final, someone pulled the fire alarm. Everyone had to evacuate the building while the police came and fire truck. We ended up staying outside for 20 minutes while the firefighters checked the inside to make sure there was no fire. After, we went in and resumed the final.
Anyway, I just thought it was interesting as I never had this happen before. There are several ways the person could have done this. They could have gone to the bathroom and pulled it at that time (which is probably not what happened). The probable explanation is that the person paid someone to pull the fire alarm while they were in the final. They probably thought the final would be canceled or moved to another day. I found it kind of amusing and annoying, anyone else had this happen to them?
Edit: Just to give more magnitude to the severity of this, the building was 6 floors, so 6 floors of finals had to evacuate which is a ton of finals disrupted.

I know that many-a-SAT exams have been disrupted heavily in the past, intentional or otherwise.

Oh the unimaginable pressure

it'd be such a bitch ... but it could definitely help cheaters
glance at test questions, and since most people bring a backpack to finals with the class notes, they can pull them out outside as the fire dept comes in and does their shit

And you can discuss the questions with your classmates too

Yep, both of those things were happening. While everyone was standing outside, everyone was discussing the questions with each other. People were pulling out the notes and stuff to answer the questions. Its such a pain for professors.

oh wow that's just a pro counter to no preparation for final!

If he planned that, he probably told some of his friends so they could review and look at stuff after.

i would have taken the final with me outside. if it's curved, then any questions i do will be like extra credit after the curve.
P.S. I pulled the fire alarm.

nvm think the policy has changed on this? i'll look it up.. hmm

my uni has a new policy where if fire alarm would go off during exams we are not to leave and continue our exam because we'd have one every time engineering would have an exam lol

At my school they don't tell teachers when fire drills will be which is a bitch for the teachers giving a test. The other buildings give notice to their teachers :-/
