I already played through Devil May Cry 4 on Human, now on Demonhunter which is pretty cool. I love that fast paced game with all the combos you can do.
Do you have any games you recommend? I prefer Action in third person on consoles just like Devil May Cry 4 :p Also I like racing... Burnout Paraside seems to be good, any information you can give about it? How does it feel etc..
Please help me finding good games...
I'm also planning on getting Naruto: Rise of a Ninja (just watch my username haha) and register to Xbox live today... (credit card ffs-_-...)
I'm not a huge fan of first person shooters.. I'd prefer hack and slash / action like DMC 4 .. like I already stated.. its so cool to see third person fights etc.. :/
you might like Gears of War even tho it's a shooter; it's got some of the hack & slash thanks to the chainsaw on your main gun, plus it's third person. But I wouldn't recommend it very highly if you don't have someone to play coop with since playing it alone is nowhere near as much fun.
Assassins Creed? Ive never actually played Assassins Creed, but its more of an action game I think - And i heard its a good expereince. I think its deffinatley a rental though, i hear its pretty short and replayabilty isnt that good.
360 + dislike shooter = wha??? (j/k)
I dunno how you feel about RPGs but Mass Effect is pretty great, and its played in 3rd person.. Its only on the 360, and is really one of those games that people buy the system just to play, you should at least try it
I know you said you didnt like FPShooters but Bioshock is just gorgeous and highly recomended. One of the best games on thesystem easy. Also for FPS Orange Box is a great value you get 5 games included for one price and the Half Life saga is a pretty exciting story.
Thanks everyone for your help and effort to post movies and give short descriptions of the games.
Here's my thoughts on what you posted:
Gears Of War
To be honest this is one of the games I'll at least try. I thought it was awesome when I first saw it.. I don't have Xbox live now so coop (split screen?) will be a pain in the ass.. so I guess its still fun to play it alone. Or I will try it Coop with a second person!
Assassins Creed
There was a big hype about that game. It has awesome graphics and cinematics but unfortunately you do the same over and over again which is not bad, but boring. I'm not sure if I will buy it, considering its about 80-90$ here..
Side note: I don't dislike shooter, I just don't think playing a shooter with a controller is that much fun... I'm used to my mouse / keyboard. T-T!
Mass Effect
I've no clue 'bout that one.. I'll gather information and make my choice.
Bioshock
Yay! Really nice game, but I already own it for PC.. no need to play that game again..

NOOOOOOO This is the most pointless game, and suffers from your whole gaming exp being READING unless you want a game that tells the story entirely with words
burnout paradise is a really good, keeps you entertained for a long time. fun to drive around and crash, or do stunts etc. though crashing takes awhile to go i wish it could be sped up x.x
assassins creed is fun, but its replayability kinda dwindles after awhile
i thought gears of war was a terrible game ><
halo is ok if you like shooters/are a fan of halo series.
idk any others you might be interested in, i dont even have a xbox lol ;o
If you like sandbox games and can find it somewhere cheap, then pick up Crackdown. Otherwise you should wait for GTA IV to come out.
Other 3rd person action games I could think of are, as the others already mentioned, Assassin's Creed (which I loved for its beautiful graphics), Mass Effect (if you like the story heavy games with tons of dialogue and decent shooter passages), Gears (a must play title imo), Lost Planet (if you like fighting insect monsters) and Overlord (never played that one though).
And because you said you liked hack and slash games, maybe you should check out Dead Rising; premise = mall full of zombies; you have to survive for a couple of days and almost everything inside the mall can be used as a weapon :D
Should none of those interest you, wait the two months until Ninja Gaiden II comes out and pick that one up.
If you buy the Naruto game (which is great except for the sucky platforming), be sure to download the japanese language pack!
Ninja Gaiden ll is too hard I guess.. 4 difficulties..
1) VERY HARD to beat 2) for users who completed Ninja Gaiden (omfg ultra hard to beat game) 3) extreme hardcore players 4) monster mega hardcore mode, nearly impossible to beat, will drive you crazy-,-
sucky platforming? :x Why? I'll get the Japanese language pack.. sounds so much better!
this is a list of games I'd try out if I had a xbox:
Action-Adventure: Kameo: Elements of Power, Fable, Soul Reaver games, Assassin's Creed RPG: Knights of the old Republic, Eternal Sonata, Jade Empire Shooter: Gears of War Party: Castlecrashers (xbox arcade, not out yet), Marvel Ultimate Alliance (multiplayer), Rock Band Racing: Project Gotham Racing

LOL thats like the exact opiosite of what i would say burnout sucks dick and is an open world game, e.g. like gran theft auto but alot more broken Assassins creed was one of the best games ive played and never got old AND HALO SUCKS DICK
If 2D action counts as 3rd person, there are some good games on Live Arcade. Castlevania: Symphony of the Night obviously, plus some decent 2D ship shooters like Triggerheart Exelica (old arcade/DC port), Omega Five, and the much-tauted Ikaruga (out tomorrow).
If you haven't played them, you might as well check the original Xbox compatibility lists. Prince of Persia trilogy etc. was on the original Xbox and probably can be played on the 360.
But as far as 3rd person action goes, DMC4 is probably the best you're going to get, so you're just going downhill from there until something good gets released.

there's an option for that in the main menu to just turn it off... at least on the PS versions.

There are certain jump n run parts in the game that totally pissed me off because controlling Naruto was just sooo unprecise. He kept slipping and falling off... It's no game breaker though, the game is still tons of fun, especiall when you're a fan of the Naruto series :p Which you are, judging from your nickname.
