If you think Starcraft should be made into a movie

nimysa United States383 Posts April 01 2008 01:46 GMT #1 Then you should check out the now deceased Starship troopers roughneck chronicles, it was such an awesome TV show but got canceled when it was nearing the end of the series, don't know why, probably because Sony was not gaining any real profit. Anyhow, alot of the themes and technologies of the show stayed true to Heinlein novels, the characters were more or less based on the movie characters. This is exactly how I would imagine real life TvZ battle would be, the series comes close to it IMO. Heck I think this is how I would imagine the UED battling the zerg in broodwar. There are more, if you like them there are plenty of them in youtube, for me I just recently rediscovered the series

grobo Japan6199 Posts April 01 2008 02:03 GMT #2 I saw the show a couple of years after i saw Starship Troopers (loved that movie), it's a decent show but i usually dislike CGI movies/shows where they try to make it look as real as possible, because it never ends up looking good. It's still worth watching it once though imo.

nimysa United States383 Posts April 01 2008 02:07 GMT #3 The show was in the 90's so don't expect too much from CGI films back then, oh btw they are making a 3rd Starship troopers movie based more on the Heinlein novel and continueing the story arc from the first movie, apparently there are new bugs and its going to be awesome as the director got enough budget unlike the second film which was utter crap.
