Can you explain PvP to me, especially with regards to surviving early 2gate pressure without 2gating (at least before core) yourself, and when to expand in a "conventional" game? >.>

Not really My pvp still needs growing. I can tell you that this matchup is still very up in the air for everyone. There are like 4-5 viable "strategies" and openings that are all strong against something else so there is a tremendous build order factor in this mu. That means scouting is pivotal so watch the towers and chokes and make sure to get those obs out if you do a robo build. From there experience will guide you.
If you scout 2 gate and you've already started your core stop mining gas, stop making probes and chrono out as many zeals as possible. Also get the 2nd gate going if you haven't already.

Yes. I love Chicago.
Shakura is insta thumbed down and will be removed in 2 weeks from ladder play. It is a 2v2 map and NOT a 1v1 map. Sharing the rock path with your opponent VASTLY favors fast marauder or fast roach and is terribly imbalanced and stupid. Also the ramp to ramp distance from some spots is faster than anywhere else.. really retarded map.

Excellent, come on down.
Jungle Basin seems interesting with the second that is really easy to take, but I agree that Shakuras Plateau will be vetoed by most players.

Under what circumstances would you leave TL, never to post again (besides health related issues)?
|
iNcontroL, I believe I heard somewhere that you majored in psych. What is the most useful information you learned in the program about interacting with people? Personally NLP, clinical hypnosis (i wanna be a psychiatrist), and understanding body language (i'll separate that from NLP) have been big focuses of mine. I find it amazing; for example, today I noticed two classmates answering a question together, and they were both matching each other, furiously twirling their ponytails with their right hands. I love seeing stuff like that.
And if you didn't major in psych, but have a cool thing that you notice and use in interpersonal situations, I'd love to hear it anyways.

It has almost no empirical support. Why not focus on something useful like CBT that has been empirically proven to work quite well?
@Incontrol: On a scale of 1 to Phil Knight, how annoying are Ducks fans?

Gretorp seems to be quite the wrestling talent as he crushed several nerds at MLG raleigh, will you challenge him at MLG DC? We can say you could only use 1 arm to make it more fair. If you choose to challenge him, make sure you record it and post it on TL.
Also make sure you bench press Idra a few times just for old times sake :>

If you could say 3 things to 3 pros (1 each, sc2 or sc1 pro players), who would you choose and what would you tell them?
