I read fakesteve's blog entries about iCCup and have decided to do the same thing. I'm hoping it will help to motivate me. Basically, I'll set goals and report back to my blog with my results. I'm going to be playing 100% youbicom and I'll leave uglytoss idle.
Right now I am B 7323 90-57 (61%) and rank #37. My goal for today is to net 500 points. If can keep about a 60% win rate, I'll have to play about 25 games. These games are so difficult for me. All of my quality practice before iCCup has been on WCG maps and against foreigners, but now I am playing on different maps and against Korean play styles. But I am learning a lot and I am getting to be more consistently good with my micro and macro. I'm still a bit off-and-on, having some beautifully executed games and some very clumsy games. I'm hoping that mass practice will help to make every game beautifully executed so that I can focus more on strategy.
I feel like I'm on the brink of really kicking up my win-rate against these players, but I'm just not quite there yet. I think I'm capable of cracking the top 10 at some point before the end of the season. If I can start to play my best in every game rather than playing horribly in some games, I think that'll insta-boost my win rate 5-10%. And once I get a hang of the play styles and maps a bit more (something I'm very quick to learn), I can boost it another 5-10%. That'll put me in the 70-80% range and I'd be very pleased with that considering the level of these players.
Ok so I'll quit typing and be off to my first day of playing the ladder under the microscope known as a blog... I'll try to make another post at the end of the day with the results, some reps, maybe FPVods, etc.

Sounds like fun, I would do this, but I don't have time to play 25 games a day. I have work etc... anyhow I wish I could do this. I dont know why, but whenever I think about you Nony, I never thought of someone truely great. Sure I knew you were good, but never on the level of like Day, LastGosu, Nyoken, etc... Now I can see I was wrong, and you are truely one of the best non-koreans. #37?! wow! I'm like #1907 lol C- sucks T_T.
