The last blog post I wrote on here was in 2014, and it was me simply sharing some music I had made. The reactions I got were pretty favorable but for some reason, I never really came back to this whole blog thing. I've been using Teamliquid since I was 8 years old (I'm 24 now), so it's always had a special place in my heart. I always told myself if I was ever got famous I'd make sure to do a blog on TL.net and show love.
Well... I'm not famous, not in the least. But I figure what better place to share yourself than your internet "home". I think as the internet has grown, as StarCraft has grown, and as the world has grown, people now have this Digital history of where they have been and who they have been. And I always trace my lineage back to here.
There is a song my Granddad share with me called Tobacco Road by Lou Rawls:
tldr: The song is basically about going back to where you come from.
My granddad is from Vicksburg, MS, left after high school to join the Navy and never really had a chance to go back. I think he feels a sense of guilt not going back, his brother went missing, his childhood home just burnt down, and he feels responsible for a lot of it. I don't think that's his burden to bear, but I want to make sure I don't make the same mistake with my childhood home. So...

These are some new beats I've cooked up that I wanted to share and get feedback on. There is, of course, a bit of a back catalog I've never shared here, so feel free to dig through it. I'm on most streaming platforms too! (just look for 'Ill Allah') I hope you all enjoy. Since my last post, I've been to Africa twice (Ghana and South Africa) and I now have nice Software Engineering Job in DC. The biggest change of all is I'm now Engage to a beautiful young lady!
These past 5 years and this beat-tape have all been about surviving the cycle of the 9 to 5 grind, as well as life's trials and tribulations.
I might take some time out and write about the last 5 years or so, just as a means to decompress a lot of it (The trip to South Africa put me in therapy for a few sessions). If people are interested in any of that or have any questions, let me know.
If you dig the music please SHARE SHARE SHARE.
PS - I came back to SC2 after 2 years and got Masters again and I'd be more than willing to help out and give tips to any players who'd be interested. Not that I can offer much, but sharing the love is the motto.
Peace.
