The Holidays are here, which I admittedly don't generally care for. Except of course for the food. The turkey, the egg nog, and Costo's pumpkin cheesecake... Oh baby. And I guess some of the family stuff. Where was I going with this?
Anyway, a few months ago I got another promotion! And a fat raise. Monetarily speaking. Not literally. As some of your may have experienced, sometimes promotions have thiiiiis much of a raise, but come with thiiiiiiiiiiiiis much more responsibility. But I'm admittedly enjoying it. I feel ill just saying that... I'm pushing 30 and I never had a job that was interesting or rewarding before. But hey, better late than never!
Now what should any person do when they get a promotion/big job? It should be obvious -- they buy themselves something real nice! New laptop? A vacation? Or perhaps... a new car! And that's exactly what I did. I bought me another thing-thang.
Although what I did was take that new-car dream and started shaving it down. Student loans? Better work on that. Friend's wedding out of state? Can't miss it. Also better save some more towards buying another home in hopefully a few years. And oh crap, I need to start budgeting to remodel our 35-year old bathroom -- undoing a previous remodel that we assumed was planned by three blind mice. Oops, roof leaks a little by the skylight... The north fence needs work... YES WE GET THE IDEA THANK YOU. Okay, okay. Anyway...
So with that all in mind, here is my new car:

With just enough money to spare to fix everything wrong with it
