at first I want to thank everybody for commenting on my last post. Now I have a better idea of how I can utilize my blog in a meaningful manner.
So here is my actual introduction:
My name is Lennart Weiß. I love Starcraft and the Community and the last 5 years I have been playing SC2 actively, though taking some longer breaks in between. Currently I am ranked in Master's League around rank ~25-50 on EU/NA and my main race is Terran, but I enjoy playing every race. In the SC2 world I call myself DemonHunter (a metal band I like).
Why do I write this blog/ what is the goal I am aiming for?
First I wanna say, that I don't wont to become popular or anything My love to Starcraft and my wish to improve is my biggest motivation. I read a lot of guides concerning improvement in RTS games and SC2 in specific. Additionally I have quite some experience now and a lot of streamers and other players (especially Neuro) helped me quite a lot in this field. Still, I feel like sometimes these people leave out some important details.
So here is what I do: Sometimes I have some great ideas of how I can improve more efficiently. Some days (or sometimes even a few hours) later I forgot them allready. So from now on I want to write them down here and hopefully help others with that. I do not want to write guides in the TL Strategy section, because I know, that it is a lot of hard work to write one and it requires a lot of research, whereas writing this blog does not take a lot of my time.
So, let's get started!
At first I wanna mention this thread:
http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/sc2-strategy/284255-sc2-strategy-recommended-threads-read-second
There you can find the relevant basics regarding improvement, most of the guides are really timeless.
What is my goal in SC2?
Playing and improving in Starcraft makes me happy and I want to play with awesome and enjoy my time. That is not very specific^^ On the short term: I want to get into grandmaster's league and I want to win a small tournament with a pricepool of like 50 € or so.
And then... I really don't know It will take my quite a bit of time to get there anyways.
I want to train 1 hour of Starcraft per day, 6 days a week (except holidays, or very busy days in the midst of the semester). That means one hour of focused playing on ladder or build order training. Beyond that I want to study a replay or progamer from time to time. I do not want to climb the ladder very fast, instead I want to actually improve slowly but steadily.
This is what I wanna do and I want to share my practice methods with you!
Yours sincerely, DemonHunter
Edit: I thought a little more about what goals I have regarding SC2. I was unsure, because I do not know yet, how good I can get at this game. So my overall goal is to reach my full potential.
