So I was thinking of running a Barcraft in the north of the UK. I always kept meaning to go to one, and now I start to make plans, I can't find one anywhere near where I live. All the places within a 50 mile radius of me are either not updating anything or the place they were hosted at has completely closed down.
The Facebook groups I've managed to find all have post at the top that date from.... 2012/13. A few have had more recent events, but mid 2015 was the most recent one I found.
So did Barcrafts just die in the UK?
Actually, having vaguely searched, the nearest group I found that had posts in the last 6 months is in London, and none of the recent ones are about events. Has the passion died in the UK?
I like the idea of setting one up, but if there's no way I'll fill a bar, then there's not much point.
It vexes me, because I finally have a camera that's worth taking pictures with, and nothing take pictures of.
Oh well. I guess I'll stick to online events....
Although part of me now wants to try setting up an online barcraft in minecraft again. I think the Virtual Barcraft kinda died, so maybe there's a thing to be done there....
