It is 5am here in Europe. I think to myself: lets ladder a bit! After all, when is laddering a bad idea? (the answer is honestly "every time", but i digress)
I meet a barcode terran on Echo, and I know for a fact, deep inside me, that im going to be pissed off after this game(As I usually do). Little did I know I was about to play the most retarded game of my 4 year 3000 games SC2 career. Thats a lot of fucking matches to be worse than. I was there in the time of retarded close position metalopolis proxy raxes, and this feels more retarded. I was there when MMA invented blueflame hellion, and every other TvZ on ladder was a retarded blueflame play for a month. I was there through all the mindnumbingly frustrating itterations of immortal all ins and soul trains. I've silently wept as i watched a 50+ minutes ZvP end because the protoss made a vortex, and ive fallen asleep feeling empty and betrayed as firecake, avilo and lillekanin were relevant in this game. This match disturbs me more.
It doesnt match the empty, soulless way i stare at the overview screen after the game and see the hour minute passed. The high master terran with less than 70avg apm feels like a joke compared to my desperate 210.. The amount of effort that is implied we both put into the game compared to the outcome makes me slightly depressed.
Usually I'd predict myself punching something, going to sleep dreaming of raping david kim with a tire iron, burning terran players alive one patch of skin at a time, but this time im at a loss.. I literally have no idea what to do now.. Maybe ill just reach a euphoric state of bliss, feeling assured of the fact that SC2 surely can not fuck with me on this level again for a while and knowing i faced a disgusting terran and lived? (for once, but i digress)
I might have won the game, but did I really? The meaning of a Pyrrhic victory has never truly dawned on me; My sanity, self respect, an hour of my life, indeed my very will to live, have all paid dearly, and for what? ladder points. A hollow feeling of triumph.
I might have won the game, but as the proverbial twitch denizen would say, but at what cost?
Indeed, ლ(ಠ益ಠლ BUT AT WHAT COST ლ(ಠ益ಠლ

TL;DR of game:
proxy rax in my nat unscouted, retarded clumsy response vs retarded clumsy response, terran having no idea how to play a macro game, and so i have no idea what the fuck is going on either so we're both just kind of making a little bit of everything, then he decides he actually cant win by playing standard, so he masses vikings and ravens and runs around the map for 40 minutes

Man, you should listen to some Metal i guess ...
And btw I don't think MMA invented blue flame hellion strat, I think it was a collective innovation of Boxer coached team Slayers ... but I might be wrong.

I feel your pain. I really do.
In that regard, look forward to LOTV. Zerg can comfortably dictate the tempo of games .

It's Z depression, I know the feeling. Since WOL, there's always been alot of bullshit and Z has been on the receiving end of alot of it. It's easy to think "Fuck, terran gets all these undeserved wins from random, terrible terrible damage units while I lose games to a few WMs he forgot about that luckily killed 80% of my banelings without him even noticing."
I recommend playing some Terran at this point, if you are feeling frustrated. It won't help in the traditional sense, it's indeed easier to get an undeserved win as Terran, but there is something therapeutic about it. Sometimes you'll even be roflstomped by the Zerg because you messed up the D-click, and even THAT will feel good.
edit: I lost a zvz yesterday because my opponent had terrible macro, and I misjudged his bank when doing some decisions that turned out to be terrible. There, got it out of my system.

I'm horrible. SC2 is hard. Ladder matches should be like the pro games I watch.
One of these statements is incorrect. :D

Hey, I know the answer to this one! It's the 1st, right? Right?!

Hey I see you are going through a tough time so just want to offer my support.
If you are passionate about the game keep playing it, it sounds like a bit of temporary frustration but you can get over it. Remember that you can't control what the other guy decides to do, cheese wise, all you can control is your decision and response that helped me.
it's a shame that people are telling you to quit and not being more helpful but I'm never sure of the rules about that.

What was the original title?

Edit: I'm too worried that my question might start a full-on balance argument. Not worth it, I'll keep my mouth shut.

This might seem sick, but I kind of enjoy reading all of your rage-posts. They're always very creative and humorous.

We all have our defense mechanisms for preserving sanity and preventing ourselves from indulging in rape-y fantasies involving David Kim when SC2 is too much, and mine usually happens to be a sardonic rant which by no means represents my actual view on balance. I just want that to be clear: I am not, in fact, retarded or autistic, nor do i believe every mech player should be crucified.

I actually appreciate hearing this, far too many people take me seriously You're not too bad at ranting yourself, you even include rationale most of the time lol. If youre not too much of a BW elitist, you should drop by LR threads every time ForGG plays against zerg, thats where I usually hit my super-saiyan form and get warnings or timeouts now that captain Greggors has retired

I have no problem watching SC2. I think it's a lot more fun to watch than to play, too. When is ForGG playing?

I think you need to work on your mindset.
