This has been amazing so far, trying to work out and balance all the instruments and so on and so forth, but it also means I can effectively only put out 10 songs a year, or however long it takes me to sync a hundred people's schedules and slam out an hour of music. I consider writing 10 songs a month a slow period, let alone having to wait a whole year.
So in the meantime, I'm screwing around with dozens of melodies and riffs that for now have no home. I thought at least two of these might be interesting enough to share, so here they are:

An intro of some sort. Debating whether to leave it as a keyboard progression or make the main part into a guitar riff and convert the rest into something else for harmony. I can't quite nail the middle part (with both hands spamming scales at the same time) at this speed (yet), but overall it's pretty close to what I was planning.

This is one where I have all the notes that I want, but not quite the sound. The tone of the melody completely changes when I slow it down a bit, but it also ends up dragging on for a bit too long when I start adding other stuff before and after it.
Hope you guys like them, and tell me what you think! :D
