I think NaNiwa contributed a lot to the scene, but none of us really know what his personal life is like. I'm not saying he's a bad guy, but nor am I saying he is a boy-scout. He did his job to make SC2 grow, in my opinion. Just like many other pros that you guys may not like (even those who should not be mentioned here on teamliquid).

I don't think anyone should have to be a saint when it comes to being a pro gamer. It's just realistic. I mean Tiger Woods is one of the world's best Golf players, but look at that drama that happened with him, two women, and a golf club and his car. Look at Charlie Sheen, look at Arnold Schwarzenegger, look at Tom Cruise, and look at Kobe Briant. Some of the worlds best examples in entertainment and mainstream sports. When that shit happens, I just shrug it off and think to myself, "Just like anyone else on any other day" for those guys. Why hate them like an episode of television unless they have personally crossed you?

I don't know how the fuck someone can take something like that so personally. If Naniwa can hear the crowd outside the booth, then so can Polt, and it doesn't take a genius to know that if you hear people making an unusual amount of noise early in the game that something might be awry. But since you worship Polt, you'll believe bullshit like "That was standard scouting on that map" and maybe he would've scouted there, maybe he wouldn't have, but he definitely would make sure to do it if he heard something.

Furthermore, I don't know how you can say someone is "toxic and disrespectful", then turn around and say you want to punch them in the face. That makes no sense. People need to quit using the anonymity of this forum to bash on him. So, he doesn't like the game. Big fucking deal. He doesn't have to like SC2. So, some people are like "His attitude is hurting the scene" and shit, but guess what? Look at how many people would watch when he played. Think about how many people love him, and all the accomplishments he's made, and then try and tell me he's "hurting the scene" or "community".
