Compromise is MasterClass's first full length album since he finished his service with the military (6th Overall). Compared to his last album (Normal Days (2011)), this album definitely is a lot more mellow and classy. The entire album has a more vintage feel and relaxing. However, it still definitely feels like a MasterClass album, and would be worth a listen.
One song to check out in this album is:
'Beauty of Lie'
This song is definitely the best song in the album. The sparse use of female vocals give it quite the charm. Also, the opening saxophone melody that segues into a very catchy piano riff is just one of the many emotion-invoking moments in the song.
Though there aren't any songs to avoid in this album, 'Paisley' sticks out. The style and sound are quite different from the rest of the album, however the tune repeated over and over so it loses its value. The other songs are mostly decent, they have their own quirks that make them good and they also keep with this album's style. Though when compared with 'Beauty of Lie' they all do seem not as good relatively.
