Hi Everyone!
Well I have streamed as said before played some Sc2 games mainly team so i can get used to that new hotkey setup i've been using....
Well i got the courage to play 1v1 unranked (i know its only unranked) but things are loooking good im slowly getting better with the hotkey setup...its just... well.... i don't know what i want to do haha i'm sort of just building anything and hoping for the best not scouting not keeping map control... damn now i know why i didn't want to switch to terran before but im going to stick to it because i quite like types of play you can do with terran (compared to zerg).
But controlling micro and macro is soooo difficult... if i micro i end up forgetting my macro sometimes by mistake i add units to my buildings hot groups and im not using the minimap as much and also not using screen caps its sooo frustrating as back when i was really active i would do this FAST (as zerg) and be able to actually know what im doing and feel like im not so lost and confused when playing...
Well hopefully my muscle memory should be able to help me and also reading up on some builds and timings,
Anyone reading this could recommend me some great videos that could help me improve my terran mechanics?
(btw i have taken a look but what would YOU guys recommend?)
Thanks for reading!

I would recommend playing and still getting use to your new setup no point to keep changing things when you don't even have a mastery of the new changes you've already made it sounds like.

Macro >>> micro. If you can't do both, focus only on macro and the most essential micro, like Guardian Shield, early-game FF's, Stim, etc. Unless you can change the course of the battle with a couple of clicks, or you're going to die unless you micro, such as vs. early game attacks, just focus on macro.

get a solid build order and focus getting the buildings down on time and keep building scvs and whatever is in the build order. eventually you will improve your speed in getting them down and macro will become easier. Micro comes later.
For terran, I go for 1 rax fast expand build, very simple: 10 supply depot 12 rax 15 turn the Command centre into Orbital Command build the expansion when you have 400 minerals, you can build it in base or at the natural build scv and complete the wall off with the supply depot
The best part about this build is when you starts ranking up, the build allows you to transition into many different style and the opponent needs to scout for it.

How's it going courage-wise? I am the worst at ladder anxiety.

OP, I would just watch MLG vods tbh. I know they won't teach you everything but at least you get an idea of unit composition, when to attack or defend etc... Also, macro is more important than micro so focus on that at first then add in micro otherwise you'll get good at neither

Hey man, I'm going to respond to your post in the previous blog over here.
Don't think about your control groups in terms of numbers, there's no point to that now. Soon F and D, your most important groups, will be natural parts of your gameplay (FS and DA, all day). I don't know what else you might mean by "letters as numbers". As for my other edits, well, first of all I had to realize that 2.0 was optimized for HotS while I'm still on WoL so I put siege tank and tech back on "S". The area I applied the biggest changes to was building for SCVs: Build CC on VW because it's more rare than other buildings so should be the most "difficult" to press, Build Barracks on VS because it's common and needs to be easy to press, etc. Idle SCVs I put on Ctrl+Alt because I think it's actually useful and want to access it easily. I replaced control group "T" with "Y" because I want Lift/Land on "T". Again, it's all about what you find most comfortable, and then getting used to it by playing a lot. I played vs. AI. 3v3s and 2v2s are also fine.

It's fine man i'm only playing unranked and its weird coz im sometimes getting bronze sometimes getting masters... so weird... but i totally know what you mean about ladder anxiety i used to be so crazy about maintaining my rank but now unranked is here no worries and when i feel ready for ranked i'll go ranked!

Thanks man i'll take a a dip in changing the hotkeys but the main thing is screen caps aswell? caps and tag is so weird to use and only 2 at that! have you changed these hotkeys or you only use 2 screen caps?
BTW thanks for replying!

I guess you are talking about Camera hotkeys. Well, that is where the beauty of the "layered cameras" concept comes in, which JaK took from FoxyMayhem's Darkgrid layout. To assign a camera location, press Alt+(Q,W,A,S,Z, or X). Then to recall that screen, press Ctrl+(whatever you used before) or you can also edit the file to accept Shift+(whatever you used before)! It's way easier than going up to F2 and F3 and such. All this information is pretty clear in the hotkey file and the ingame hotkey menu.
To be honest, I don't use camera hotkeys right now, but as I get better I'll try to implement them into my gameplay. Let me know if anything I said needs to be cleared up!
