Part 2
A period of inactivity, a rest so to speak. I felt I needed it. The work in January and February was intense, especially during the crossover weeks. But significant progress was made. The DyiithJhinn, functional. The Wayward Daughter, also functional. Some things I hadn't thought to see working for months yet. My first UDK experiments are on the horizon. But I'm not quite ready.
I painfully attempted to rebuild the Royal missile cruiser some months ago, and met a certain defeat. Yesterday I picked up where I left behind and finished it in record time. Finally, that piece of shit is dealt with. Rigging it will suck.
The Bishop was a very tough model to revise, and I still have to re-rig it because I lost the original rigged variant due to stupidity. But the hardest part is done. Now it's just the most painful. Any and all 3d modeling, much less the super tedious hardpoint rigging, is extremely taxing on my wrists and finger joints. The pain is unimaginable, but I must endure.
The mighty Glecterror will see appearance in the Retribution battle. This was another very tough model to fix up, but unlike the above two, it has never been used in a game yet.
The Zthor, a symmetry hack of the Zurren. It came out very well. It's ingame and fully functional and has been so for a month or so.
The Resources front is mounting up for a major attack at the audio work of this project in the near future. I have an immense amount of resources ready for mangling, including the audio stream of some gundam ps2 game which, thanks to my exceptional experience, I can rip some of the extremely rare and valuable sound effects from. I am also in possession of many of the library cds Blizzard relies so heavily on, and some of the source cds for the newer Transformers movies. Only time will tell if I can make better use of these than so called professional engineers.
In suit of these events, I realized I needed to keep practicing my voice acting. Casting maybe a year off or longer, but I still have a long ways to go if I am to be able to handle the immense requirements of this independent movie.
Well. I realized that big blogs aren't all too popular, and I don't feel to divulge anything related to ingame material yet. So, that shall be all. Until the next time, gentlemen.
