EPTOkay, so I went to see it live and I was confident Damien would beat fitch, but I was also sure Overeem would run thro Bigfoot like a bulldozer, unlike many I didnt think Bigfoot had a real chance, in that fight, and oh boy was I wrong!
He implemented his gameplan perfecly, survived until the reem was as gassed as possible and I was amazed at how cocky the reem was.
One minute before Reem for KTFO I told my dad, "Overeem has a glass jaw, if Bigfoot could only clip him.." and them BOOM, HOLY SHIT
It was like someone had thrown a match in a pool of gasoline, everyone went fucking nuts, I lost my voice screaming, I screamed so hard I started tasting blood, such was my amazement, my dad who is the definition of a casual (only watches what I show him) was freaking out more than me, he was like HOLY SHIT I CANT BELIEVE IT and so was everyone else.
I lost the first round of lil nog vs evans, but I thought he won the last two super narrowly, but to be honest I wasnt sure, so when the decision came I was so happy.
Then came the main event, I was really nervous because the night had been perfect so far, and Edgar is so good, I thought all our Brazilian glory was at stake, if Aldo lost we would be down to two belts (one if you dont consider the interim title), but I respect Edgar a lot, so I was really scared for Aldo.
My heart was on my sleeve all the fight, and It was an awesome fight, I gotta hand it to Edgar, he is one tought SOB, but Aldo is more athletic, has more tools, a better style and is a GENIUS inside the octagon, its amazing how smartly he moves, even when hes in trouble, his instincs are always right, he always does the best escapes.
Everything went right for us Brazilians that night, hopefully you americans enjoyed the event, because I sure did.
PS: Edgar you are a true warrior bro, want to see more fights.
