Something unexplainable happened one Halloween on Teamliquid. With EffervescentAureola getting banned only a few weeks after his BFF StateofReverie received a 90 Day Temp Ban, Liquidians were faced with fears that they would be unable to reach their daily quotas of stupid bullshit. One man by the name of Rusty Eyeballs, a hero of sorts, rose to the challenge barely an hour after EA's ban. He took time out of his day, probably dozens of seconds, to compile compelling evidence - including his anecdotal ladder experience and statistics that exist probably - to tell us that there's, like, "totally a lot of zerg players you guys."
Immediately we could feel our "stupid bullshit" meters soar to safe, sustainable levels even in the absence of AE, SoR, and any particular drama. But it didn't stop there. Soon after, we saw our first copycat hero. A man named Mrvoodoochild1, perhaps with good intentions, created another thread where he cleverly replaced the word "zerg" with "protoss." Clearly a work of comic genius, but he could have never known the horror it would trigger. Quickly we saw more copycat heroes emerge, overflowing the site with very dangerous levels of stupid bullshit.
We can see in the four closed copycat threads that have arisen at the time of my writing, none of them have any mod comments written in them. This shows that the stupid bullshit has started to overwhelm the moderators already. They have the strength to close the thread but are then too tired to comment on it. At this rate, who knows how long the levees of moderation can hold back the stupid bullshit? When will it get through to the innocent ESPORTS fans on the inside? We cannot afford to find out.
There is only one man who can save us from the clutches of stupid bullshit. One man who has shown an unrivaled control over stupid bullshit, knowing just when to use it and when to mysteriously disappear after introducing it. So please, when next Tuesday's Election rolls around, vote Rusty Eyeballs for next TL moderator. Thank you.
I'm not Rusty Eyeballs (thankfully) and I approve of this message.

I find it kind of sad that the blog section is sort of the cause of some of this. SoR and AE just shit it up there. They posted tons of absolute crap that took 10 min to make and posted it every 10 min. It was kind of sad for a guy like me who puts time and effort into his blogs to see a lof of their stuff just clog it up. It's not a problem when someone has 2 blogs up in the blog area at the same time, its a problem when it's AE or SoR because before you click on it, you know its a [girl] blog or a [stupid] blog with 0 time taken to create it, which makes me sad. I don't like shitting on other people, in fact I hate it, but most of their blogs are just terribad. I think the bullshit level will go down soon.

There has not been a quality blog in the internet, ever. Some are very good, but still slip just below the limbo demarcation of "HOLY SHIT EVERYONE MUST READ THIS NOW SO THEIR EYEBALLS WILL EXPLODE FROM THE SHEER AWESOME!" I think that's the point of blogs, generally... it takes the place of journaling for the compulsive diarist. And have you read some of that crap from back when most everyone kept a diary? blech.
Girl blogs are the worst. Except for boy blogs. Except for impassioned pleas about the state of (insert race here). Except for all of the ways that BW/SC2/LoL/Dota2/WC3/Super Mario Bros is better than anything else. Except for any of my replies to any topic, ever.

So true about blogging being the new journaling. It's even quicker to type than to write. Now you can get every single bit of the crazies out of your head daily, or multiple times a day with twitter/facebook/smartphones. That's where I really got sad. Now you can mini blog about the meal you just ate or the stupid song lyric you just heard. Everything is getting shorter and more compact and shitty : (
I remember keeping track of my university life back in first year. You know, what I did that day, how much my roommates suck, etc. Thought it would be nice to remember all the good times I had when I was 30 or 50 or whatever. Then in 2nd year I read it all and instantly tossed all the notebooks in the trash. A lot of nothing was written.

i am scared of losing my reporting priviligies, so my heart sinks everytime i do it. when it's already reported it's a bittersweet feeling, on one hand the report i just attempted was probably justified and my priviliges was never in danger, but on the other hand i was late to the party.
