How to create an auto-install CD (Win XP Pro)?

Garnet Vietnam9007 Posts October 29 2012 10:17 GMT #1 Someone I just met (who is blind) asked me to create an install CD for Win XP Pro for him that he can just put the disc in and it will automate every steps. His laptop is an ACER 3680, so he wants the CD to have the drivers for it too. Also some basic programs like Chrome, Unikey fonts, bluetooth and wifi thingy (I don't know anything about this, but they're the stuff you need to use bluetooth and wifi on your computer). Any help would be greatly appreciated. Note: We just met for the first time so I don't know how he use the computer, but since he's blind I guess it would be easier if he don't have to click anything. Also he's a great guy, has been traveling to every cities in the country to sing with his mates (who are all blind). He really inspires me.

Rannasha Netherlands2398 Posts October 29 2012 10:44 GMT #2 Use nLite. This tool will allow you to fully customize a Windows installation. Remove components, add drivers and/or software, fix some settings up front, etc... I used it for WinXP installations in the past. I don't really remember exactly how unattended you can make it (so there may still be moments where the user has to click next or something). Best to just try it in a virtual machine to see how it works, that way you can also provide instructions.
