I guess this is rather a dull topic for a first TL blog, but still. Just got promoted into masters league!

It's taken me a year, and ~2500 games. I'm sure it could have been a lot less if I refrained from fannying around, and practiced properly. Oh well.

It's kinda shiny being in the same league as LucifroN, even if I'm not anywhere near good enough to actually play someone like him yet. Slowly onwards to high master / GM I guess.

EDIT: While I was writing this, LucifroN appears to have been promoted or something. Oh well.

Congratulations! that's really cool to see. despite all the "journey from bronze to master's" posts on these forums, one gets the impression very few people actually manage to make it. to have proof that all your effort actually paid off must feel very nice.

Very nice. Mine looks like "silver -> plat -> plat -> diamond -> diamond -> plat -> diamond -> plat -> diamond -> plat -> diamond". And will probably be adding another "-> plat" any day now. As a result, I hate you.

How was this done? I've played 3632 games.
I've been Plat for 2 and half years, nothing helps me improve. What did you do?

it doesn't matter how many games you've played, but if you're making the same mistakes, you're not improving

yep, number of games is pretty much irrelevant. try to narrow down the why you are not improving as best as you can and either try to work on it yourself or look for some help :-)
