My mom had me at a young age, she always seemed to be depressed, my dad was a workaholic and didn't spend much time with me, he was a strict disciplinarian and sometimes beat me with belts, we lived in poor areas of NYC for years and crappy apartments with cockroaches, and my dad was always paranoid about the police. I was never that violent, but I often had violent thoughts which just made me feel more alienated and alone and self-conscious and with low self esteem despite a disproportionate sense of self importance. I've never had a relationship with a girl, partly because I always expect the girl to dominate me and I somehow weirdly "get off" on her making me feel lower. I don't know, a lot of things in my life seem pretty #%^€ed up. | ||

I doubt that a small child is able to clearly and rationally identify his sense of empathy, or lack thereof. If this story is true, then the reasoning Aureola gave (wanting to be able to fly, and being jealous of birds that could do what he couldn't) is probably more than enough of a rationale for said child. It's strange, but it doesn't really say anything about whether he may or may not have psychopathic tendencies. And where does Aureola say he enjoyed it? He states multiple times that he felt remorse and shame for doing what he did. | ||
