1. I am currently the number #2 bronze player in the Americas. It's a great honor and I'm incredible proud and humbled to be in this position.
2. How did I get here? I started off sc2 by not really playing any 1v1 matches. Then... a Korean dude from the British Isles played on my account and I ended up in masters. I was definitely not that good and after worker rushing about 100+ games. I brought myself down to the lowest of the low in bronze. I played against players worse then the ones "Gheed" faced. I played people that... were probably playing their first ever RTS matches ever.
3. The Deep Madness of Bronze I had a lot of insane games in bronze. Probably more insane then Gheed's games. Most of my games lasted 1 to 2 hours long. I've had I think... a 3.5 hr pvp match where everything was mined out and I ended up having a cannon fortress supported by an army of phoenixes. I've had matches where I took every base except their naturals and mined everything out, I usually had 60k minerals and 50k gas or something like that. There was one match where I killed the other guy with 200+ probes. I've done crazy mass spine crawler builds. Mass sentry. Mass zeolot. mass anything pretty much. Mass raven is particularly deadly.
4. The Journey out of Bronze I started with 6 pools. Then I moved on to 1base banshee builds and marauder proxies against protoss and I'm almost in platinum now. I'm not sure how much farther I'll make it before I'm stopped but I'm on at least a 20+ 1v1 win streak. Usually the banshees kill everything but my apm is around 70-95 so I can't really micro and macro at the same time.
5. Conclusion I'm currently still in bronze and it's nice to be #2 in something, even if it's bronze league that I illegitimately entered.... Unfortunately I'm not #2 in silver league in honor of stork ;D Also it's sort of difficult to be the #2 bronze player because you are always at risk of being promoted. I think when I lose, then I'll be moved. But I miss the leisure of deep bronze. The feeling of doing whatever you wanted, of doing crazy things, of creative builds. Every game was different. It was like painting on a blank canvas. Now I'm doing the same builds, going for the macro advantage, and just playing the game. Always trying to win, because in today's society... winning is all that really matters. Coming first or coming last.

That's... a precarious position you find yourself in.
Good job getting there, though!

I don't understand the part about being platinum. How can you be plat if you are actually Bronze? Are you playing plat opponents or what?

Barely beating some golds with all-ins does not a platinum player make.
You have to be consistently beating platinum players and occasionally beat diamonds to be a platinum player.
I actually played a couple of games the other day and I got 7 roach rushed. I played pretty bad and still held it off convincingly. The guy was #2 bronze, so you still have a long way to go til platinum.

The bronze league is no place for a boy. There is injustice in the ladder, and a worker rushed opponent is a thing of beauty.
