It's been 8 days since I arrived in Romania; this is the third time in the last two years. So far things have been going ok. When I say ok I actually mean things have been going good, I have nothing to complain about. It's just that sometimes I build up in my mind the way I want things to go in the future, I get super excited about it and then when the future does come, it's not as perfect as I had imagined. I'm sure im not the only one that does this, but regardless, I am grateful with all I have been blessed with.
My sleeping schedule since i've been here has been quite crazy. Ive been struggling to get into a proper routine, the jet lag is just now starting to go away, and I was able to go to sleep at midnight last night, rather than 8 am. Sleeping during the night makes me so much more fresh than when I was sleeping through the day and waking up at 4pm, haha.
I have not started to go to the gym yet, but that's my goal for today. In 1-2 hours i'll head to the NewRoSoft office to see the team owner Andrei, visit with him and other employee's, maybe coach him a little and watch him rage And then head to the gym which is in the same building.
There is something definitely different about being here again, and I can't quite put my finger on it .. yet. I think maybe the biggest difference is that I came here alone. In the previous trips I brought SleEpy and ReSpOnSe. SleEpy the first time, and ReSpOnSe the second time. Both of these people are such great friends of mine, and I have really awesome memories of both of them in the times we spent here in Romania. Last time I left Romania I had been living by myself in the team house for about 2 months, possibly a little bit more. It got pretty lonely despite my friend and team manager of NrS Valentine (FroZENdruid) coming to visit me quite often. He actually lives about 2 blocks from the team house.
Now that I am here again, though, there are two others living in the house with me. One of them is ALDeathangel, the best zerg player from Romania, and Ion, a high master protoss from Romania. Both of them are very kind and I am getting a long with them well. They cook a lot and are always sharing with me, expecting nothing in return. I do hope to cook for them as well in the future, but my cooking skills are less than ideal. I think that's one of my major goals these next few months, though, to learn to cook some healthy meals, and be confident enough in it that I can share..
A few days ago we went to a Barcraft in old city (it's basically the old center of Bucharest I think?)
which was really fun. There were a lot of people there and the thing was very well organized. It's actually my 2nd Barcraft ever, but this one was the best by far. I want to thank the man that organized it, but I can't remember is name . Anyways it was great, and I hope that they have more like it in the future.
The last thing I'll say is that I am going to practice very hard for dreamhack Bucharest (my next big event) and I hope to show some great games and do very well there. I've been a pro gamer for quite some time now and still haven't showed very good results. At this point I sometimes think that maybe it could be time to hang up the mouse, but I refuse to think that way now, and if I work hard I know that I have hope for a future. Thank you everyone for the love and support. And for my family and friends at home. I already miss you.
