EPTI had played Starcraft 1 and Brood War briefly. I had left the scene in 2005
when I started college, not by choice but because college is hard and didn't
have the time. In June 2011 I was browsing around youtube and happened upon
a clip of the aftermath of a game between Idra and MC at MLG columbus.
Took me a while to refind that
Immiediately, litterally a split second difference from when I saw that video to my
hands typing, I re-fell in love with Starcraft.
I frantically searched for any more VOD's I could find of SC2 related stuff
just binging for an uncountable number of hours.
There was so much content to watch it never ended. I was introduced to Tastetosis, HD, Husky,
Day9,Total Biscuit,Apollo,Destiny lol deezer and combatex, etc. etc.
Most of all I was introduced to the MANY tournaments that were being held on a regular
basis.
Since that faithful moment my appetite for SC2 has been insatiable. I bought the game
in season 3 and started making way up the ladder, sitting at plat now, watching every tourny
I could, and getting to know even more about all of the wonderful players and casters and communties.
Sometime around June of this year I decided to put together a Clan because why the hell not!
It also helped that none of my friends played the game and for some reason it was hard
to entice them to it. (they were not good nerd ballers like myself)
So naturally I wanted to find people where as passionate about this wonderful game as myself.
I started posting about making a team and thinking to myself. Man there must be a million people
in clans already and I'm only gold(At the time) no one will respond to me.
To BUT THEY DID! Clan Dark Onyx was created.
