Welcome back to myself!

It’s been a while since I last posted. Been a very hectic time. Lots of stuff happening. Stuff worthy of one if not two girlblogs, a 1000th post blog and “see what I’ve done” blog. Since I haven’t had time to write any of those, and most likely never will, I certainly didn’t have time to blog about kongregate.
Since last time I finished my education as an air traffic controller. So now you can all officially be afraid to fly over Denmark =) I might blog about what it is like to be an air traffic controller at some point. Hmm… Anyway..

When that is said I have played my fair share of games since last time. I’ve completed the following games:
Paladog, Continuity, Upgrade complete, Icy Fishes, Insectonator, Papa’s Freezeria and Mushroom Madness 3.

I’ve also completed the new quest Yo Dawg."Yo Dawg. We heard you like achievements so we put achievements in the achievements for you to achieve." So I’ve still been quite the busy bee despite not really having time. I think I just kept playing instead of dedicating time to write about it.

Paladog

Achievements:

Wagon Wheel Badge (Beat level 1-6 – Easy 5 points, 138.000 before me)
I Like Tortoises Badge (Unlock 5 units - Medium 15 points, 83.000 before me)
Undead Menace Badge (Defeat the skeletal dragon on level 4-24 - Hard 30 points, 28.000 before me)
Perfectionist Pooch Badge (Earn all 360 stars – Hard 30 points, 22.000 before me)

This game. This game took forever to complete. Over 10h did I pour into this game. Not that it was that hard it just took forever. It was fun way longer than I expected but in the end the game was quite broken mechanic wise which kind of ruined it.

Come here son and I’ll tell you about the time I beat Paladog in just under 11h!

This game is about Paladog and his quest to save critterland from… eh… someone. Honestly I forgot who /what it was. Never mind. Moving on. Paladog is shit. He sits on his horse and has a sword be he can’t actually attack. For that he uses cute mice, rabbits and harry potter penguins. He (Paladog) does know some magic tricks. He carries 3 staff which grant him magic that he can use. From making food, lightning bolts, healing and meteor strike. He then uses his army of cute critters to kill the enemy and their base!

Army of critters… Fight for me!

The game uses an upgrade system. So you start only that with the swrod wielding mouse. You then have to buy Rabbit Hood while you can also upgrade units to be more powerful. You can also buy new staffs and rings that give passive bonuses. The game also features 4 different levels where the ones showed here is by far the most common. The game is actually super fun and until a certain point somewhat of a challenge. You need to get a good start to win and even then some of the bosses along the way can fuck you up. A boss that kicks your units back, yes. A boss that eats your units, yes. A boss that spawns even more units, yes.
Super great little game. Just remember that when you get the penguin wizard you win the game!

Papa’s Freezeria

Achievements:

Cherry on Top Badge (Serve 10 sundaes with cherries – Easy 5 points, 91.000 before me)
Gotta Get Down on Sundaes Badge (Earn any 20 in-game badges - Medium 15 points, 35.000 before me)

A papa’s game. I’ve been dreading the point where I had to complete one of these. Once I learned to turn off my brain and behave like a 9 year old girl I was able to play it. Before that it was a pain.
You work at an ice cream shop and you have to deliver the perfect ice cream sundaes for your customers. Crap.

Oh the choices…

I’d like to quote a top rated comment on the game from kongregate’s website:

Yes I'd like a large ice cream sundae with creameo bits inside, chocolate syrup, mixed chunky (not smooth) with chocolate whipped cream, chocolate syrup, chopped peanuts, sprinkles, with exactly two creameos (no more, no less) and a cherry in that exact order. *waits*... *tastes* Nope, you spilled some chocolate sauce on the back counter.

That pretty much describe the game. The worst part is you start doing your absolute best because you wanted that pretty 100%. I was actually stressed at some point because I had 2-3 customers waiting.
Oh and I forgot to mention you can decorate your shop with tables and posters and new floor tiles. Not that I’ve wrote that you just can’t stay away from this game can ya?

Continuity

Achievements:

Four-Square Graduate Badge (Complete level 7 – Easy 5 points, 412.000 before me)
Mobius Strip Badge (Complete all 32 levels - Hard 30 points, 51.000 before me)

This game is a gem. Go play it. It is original. It is simple. It have a great atmosphere. It have good background music – quite soothing. It is just a joy to play. I REALLY love this game. The idea behind it is so clever.

Can you tell me the way to the red door please?

You are the stick figure and you need to find your way to the red door. You can move the windows around and create the path you need. The windows need to fit, otherwise you can’t move to the next window. You change from moving your figure to moving the windows in order to change the path constantly. I’m not sure that made any sense if you haven’t played the game… So go do that. The levels are hard and sometimes not that straight forward as you would think.
