How did that second post have anything to do with the first? It doesn't really matter all that much to me though because both are great. Please tell more stories.

They were just cases of cyber bullying. I was hoping other people would post things they did, but it seems like not really anyone cares to post.

Anyways, in 2009, I had a guy try to kill me, because he wanted some one to kill him. After he tried to kill me, I had kind of a warped perception on guys, and had problems just being around them. At times it would be hard for me to just breathe as I walked by some guys, like I would hyperventilate. I stopped going out, and spent the majority of the time in my room. I mean it was so bad, that my roommates would think that I went home during the weekends, when really I would just be in my room.

I started experimenting kind of with other women on the internet, but never in person. I ran across this Italian domme, who really fascinated me. She had wealthy guys who would come to her, and give her money, and then she would just shoe them off. She told me she was getting too old for the domme thing, but was looking for some one to replace her. I got pretty excited about this, because I kind of wanted to take my anger out on guys, just to try to feel normal again.

She said she could get me a one way ticket to Italy, but I would have to leave that day so that she could train me for the job. I told her I couldn't, because it would be weird to tell my parents that I was going into the sex sector, and that I needed to finish my classes. Later on she said that I was just going to be her pet, and that being a domme is a lifestyle choice. You never stop being a domme, and that I would be trained forever. I found this to be really fucked up and shocking, but it was refreshing at the same time. It made me feel more comfortable around guys again.

No, this has not happened to me before.

If you are all so impressed by the OP's stories, you should check his/her post history... there are like 20 more buried in various, unrelated topics on TL from the last day or so.

I don't really believe the second story but it was but gustingly laugh out loud funny. Good job Nymphaelaeae. You would think that your guy from philly would be hanging around here somewhere, seeing as how he was so in to BW and all that.

I ended up changing from the east to west server, because I felt so bad for making this guy cry. I mean he really wanted to fly down and marry me. I was young and naive at the time too, but he was just extremely gullible.

In the early days of Star Wars Galaxies, you could build faction bases that would spawn missions for rep. I'm not sure if this was something that persisted through all of the changes since I quit when Jump to Lightspeed came out, but the bases could be destroyed if you showed up with a strike force that had the correct specific professions, and at the correct time of day. We had a lot of great memories fighting in and around or guild's base as we protected it. On Christmas Day, a group from the opposing faction went around hacking and destroying bases. They posted pictures on the forums talking trash and laughing at all the guilds they had screwed over.
We were kind of pissed, but hacking a base was not as easy when people were around to protect it, so we only got two or three of them within the next week. This was back when the game was really buggy though and occasionally a small patch would do something completely unintended. I don't remember how we actually figured it out, but somehow we found a way to destroy faction bases by targeting someone in front of them with an area attack. It was really unfair because there was no way to stop it, but we were still pretty pissed about our base getting hacked on Christmas. We went all over destroying bases with AoEs when there was no way to stop us.
I did a lot of shady stuff in that game (duping credits, exploiting armor and weapons, abusing bugs for leveling professions), but I generally felt fine with all of that because it wasn't specifically aimed at hurting another player. The night we were effortlessly destroying other guild's bases however ...

Not me personally, but most of the guys I ran with did. We had a day where killed a Krayt dragon and it dropped 11 legendary tissues (used in crafting damage component for weapons). They were called legendary tissues, but they were more than that because unlike all the other crafting components in the game, they didn't have a serial number. This allowed us to make schematics, put them into a factory, and then produce these amazing components with any garbage tissue we could find. As far as I know one of my friends sold those weapons for basically the entire life of the game. Unfortunately the game shut down so he had to go find a job.
Another friend of mine sold his jedi four or five times to different people netting on average $600 USD each time. A few guys sold credits for money IRL. None of this stuff ever appealed to me, they would spend all day auctioning and working forums trying to get better prices for everything. Gaming was supposed to be a way to get away from working. I just liked to shoot people and kill dragons. =)

I always liked star wars. When the game came out, I wasn't sure about playing an MMO, but my friend talked me into it by buying me the Collectors Edition for my birthday. They played from launch, so they had a few weeks head start on me. When I first logged in, I was greeted with all the best stuff. Armor, weapons, a house, millions of credtis, they even gave me this pet cat that could kill most things in a hit or two, but didn't need any creature handler ability to use. I named him Compton, cuz he was so gangster.
Playing an MMO for the first time was like smoking weed for the first time. It was completely foreign to me, and I didn't really understand what was going on half the time. But I knew I liked it. Being naturally outgoing, I met a lot of people. Most of the guys I played with were RL friends, so if we met someone from California, we invited them to come to one of our parties. I made a lot of really great friends.
It seems like you have a ton of stories. A lot of them sound like things that happen to me, different, but the same. If that makes any sense when you read it. What was it like the first time you played an MMO?

I've actually never played an MMO in my life. I used to love to play the Mario games, but most of all I loved to play Super Metroid. I had a neighbor who never really went outside, and never really talked to anyone. He was 5 years older than me, and was special needs. In kindergarten we had these egg carton flower pots that we made for Mother's day, in which we had written "I love you Mom" on the bottom of them, so there was this big black guy who was 5 years older than me too. He gave me a black eye, smashed my flower on the bus, and then told me to pick up my mess. My special needs neighbor picked him up over his head, and threw him across the bus. I was in tears.

My neighbor took me to his house, and put band aids all over me, so that I would look tougher. Then he taught me how to play Super Metroid. That was my first ever video game, but I would go over to his house all the time to play it with him.
