(recordings of most of my oral Korean exam in the videos further down)
Don't you also feel like this every time?: + Show Spoiler +
Today I had an oral exam in Korean... Near death experience (true story)...

But I passed (also true story) ^^
I started studying Korean last August, and I am currently finishing up my second semester, with only one exam to go. The last exam is a short lecture by two fellow students and me, on Internet usage, MMO's and esports in Korea. This is a part of an exhibition about Korea, at the Danish national museum (with the rest of the class doing other pop-culture related stuff).
Besides a historical paper on a subject before 1945, an grammar and text exam, we also had an oral exam.
Today was that exam. I have been fearing this exam for almost a whole semester, and at the time I studied for it I felt like shit. Besides that, I was told by my teacher that for a second semester student, it turned out pretty well. Looking away from all the mistakes and things I need to work on of course.
The exam was structured like this. We were divided into pairs last week, and handed 5 topics, of which one would be randomly drawn during the exam. We were then to make a conversation about the drawn topic with our partner, making it last for about 3 ish minutes. The next part of the exam was a personal presentation, also supposed to last about 3 ish minutes + 2 ish minutes of questions by our teacher.
This meant that I during the last 5 days, I made conversations on each topic in danish with my partner, and then practiced translating them on the fly, until something decent came out of it. This worked out somewhat well. Regarding my presentation, I made it yesterday and I seriously just memorized the danish version of it, and then translated it on the spot... It went terrible ;_;
First part of the exam
Our topic was "날씨와 계절" = the weather and seasons
This is what happened:

The sound start at 5 ish seconds and is really low, so you will probably need to turn up the volume.
Second part of the exam:
Hereafter I had to do my presentation. I failed horribly ;_;

These were some of the comments they had (those I remember)
- practice particle usage
- I speak slow, but somewhat determined
- I have an okay vocabulary, and use it well when speaking (not monotone)
I really don't remember too much of the other stuff. But I know that I in general have to practice insanely much before I am going to Korea this summer. I would kill myself if I couldn't at least speak somewhat properly before going there for a year.
I feel like the good things was what they had to say... Personally I think I sucked big time.. I speak way to slow, and have to use too much time thinking to make proper sentences, in addition to having a very limited vocabulary and always fucking up in the grammar ;_;
Well.... I just wanted to share what happened. Feel free to comment on my horrible Korean and the content in the videos.
If you have any questions about what is being said please ask...
