"Why?" you ask. Why would I spend so long with so little time sleeping besides the fact that sleep deprivation is better than taking loads of drugs + Show Spoiler +
because it's safer, cheaper, and more fun

And what has this all to do with the latin in the title?
I'll tell you. Ludum Dare is a 48 hour game competition. In 48 hours I made my first real game. I used blender game engine, and scripted in python. It took me so long t figure out how to use the API, nut I struggled through, and made it anyways.

My game is based off the traveling salesperson problem. The player "moves" from city to city, which costs money, but when the player arrives at a city, he gains money based off the population in the city and the overall excitement in the city by holding a "concert" there. (I say "moves" and "concert" in quotes because there are no animations which make it clear that that's what is happening). The player travels around the cities and ends at his home town where the game ends and your score is your money.
For you, this might be just another blog about some crappy unpolished game, but for me, it was a life experience. I learned that if you want something done, you gotta set aside 48 hours for it and never sleep. Work for that shit. GO GO GO!
