Let me start by saying i am by no means a pro. I am a bronze level player, but its seeming ive hit a peak. i dont feel i am getting much better when i am playing anymore, i know thats probably not true and i probably am progressing but very slowly. has anyone else had this feeling? i ladder and get rolled, i practice against computers and its no challenge. i dont feel my mechanics are getting better and my apm(if it matters at all) seems to be stuck at 30-35 no matter what. any tips on getting out of the rut?

also ive been thinking of streaming to get my motivation up and excited to be playing again, is it silly for someone like me(low bronze) to start streaming?

Thanks in advance for the feedback :D

No it is not silly to start streaming. At the best you can get even viewers to help you and tell you things you did wrong that you didn't even notice. : )

you have any friends to compete with? laddering by yourself takes alot of determination and work. playing just to get better sounds draining and boring. instead of "Training" try playing styles you used to win with/enjoy.

yeah I'd start finding practice partners for your weakest MU's. When someone rolls you and ladder just be nice to them and see if they will play you some more. Also watch the replays and start fixing the first mistake you see, just focus on fixing the mistakes early game until you get a better grasp of them, then you can focus on mid-late game.

I think you mean "wall," not "peak." You've hit a wall in your gameplay. This happens to pretty much everyone, but of course we can't really give you advice if youre not asking for any

Bronze and unmotivated? There's so much bout this game you don't know or understand, yet it seems youve failed to realize this. Just play for fun, if you're not motivated to play, play something else. This game is taxing as fuck, and if your in bronze trying to stay motivated(for what goal?), then you need acknowledge what that really means

No one's peak is bronze league. Give us some replays and we can tell you where you're going wrong, and how to improve.

If you really want to get better you should think about practicing a build order.
You can create a map you like kick the computer out and save it.
Then download a replay of a build order you like (gasless fe vs toss for example as terran). Copy it and try to move out with two medivacs at 10 minutes. Make you third base behind it and macro to 200/200.
Do this again and again. Maybe one or two times before laddering ? Maybe more often.
You can also download SC2gears and use the apm alarm.
Set it to 35 or 40 in your practice games and when you are comfortable with the speed (maybe you have 45 apm with alarm) set it to 45 apm and so on.
If you want to get better mechanics, practice is the fastest way.

yeah i mean, i enjoy the game i have fun when i do play. i suppose its just my progression used to be in leaps and bounds and now its super slow progression. i guess more accurately what im asking is what are some ways to keep getting better. im feeling like when im practicing im just doing the same things over and over and its no longer feeling any smoother lol. my main focuses are(depending on the race) pylons and probes...scvs and supply depot kinda thing but it just feels like its to a point where im not really getting better at the game in general xD

i dunno, im not trying to complain or anything i know the game can get frusterating at times. i have the motivation to practice and get better but i have a hard time getting into laddering cause i get rolled most times unless im matched against someone clearly lower than i am skill wise is what i meant by lack of motivation :D

I bet you can reach at least platinum/diamond if you really put effort into it
Do you use builds at all?

Do whatever it is you enjoy doing at the time, if it's not sc2 anymore, just stop playing and do something else for now - be flexible =]
I just had to let it go

You're lucky you're just unmotivated to play starcraft. I'm unmotivated to study and to do my work D:
It's left me in a bad spot. Anyways it sounds like you've hit a wall. How I learned to improve was to just watch my replays. Improving through mass gaming is slow and inefficient. Even if you win a game you can learn how you won and from your opponent's mistakes, and if you got crushed you can see not only ways to prevent from getting crushed in the future but also changes in your mentality at certain times and how your opponent did well.

When I was in bronze I was stuck on the same crappy builds. I was focused on getting wins and not improving.
Watch your replays after every game, dissect your gameplay, look for things you could do better.
Always check your mineral and gas count, if you notice it's high, build crap, it will come natural over time.
Check your game timer-this is a good tell on when to expect pushes.
Work on expanding, this helps macro immensely.

do you have fun while you're playing? if not, then you should consider quitting and find better things to do. I don't really get why some people are willing to spend time to get good at this game and completely ignore the fact that they're not having fun. its pointless.
Its grack

Maybe take a break from the game too if you're bored of it.
