You can create a map you like kick the computer out and save it. Then download a replay of a build order you like (gasless fe vs toss for example as terran). Copy it and try to move out with two medivacs at 10 minutes. Make you third base behind it and macro to 200/200. Do this again and again. Maybe one or two times before laddering ? Maybe more often. You can also download SC2gears and use the apm alarm. Set it to 35 or 40 in your practice games and when you are comfortable with the speed (maybe you have 45 apm with alarm) set it to 45 apm and so on. If you want to get better mechanics, practice is the fastest way.

i dunno, im not trying to complain or anything i know the game can get frusterating at times. i have the motivation to practice and get better but i have a hard time getting into laddering cause i get rolled most times unless im matched against someone clearly lower than i am skill wise is what i meant by lack of motivation :D

It's left me in a bad spot. Anyways it sounds like you've hit a wall. How I learned to improve was to just watch my replays. Improving through mass gaming is slow and inefficient. Even if you win a game you can learn how you won and from your opponent's mistakes, and if you got crushed you can see not only ways to prevent from getting crushed in the future but also changes in your mentality at certain times and how your opponent did well.

Watch your replays after every game, dissect your gameplay, look for things you could do better. Always check your mineral and gas count, if you notice it's high, build crap, it will come natural over time. Check your game timer-this is a good tell on when to expect pushes. Work on expanding, this helps macro immensely.
