For 6 seasons Ive always been in the same spot of the ladder. Each season has had me end with rank 40-60 Masters. I know my gameplay and mechanics have gotten better but I still cannot break into what everyone calls 'High Masters". I don't understand why I cant get better.
Yesterday I had a huge losing streak where I was losing to diamond players and I was favoured(~18 points a loss). When ever I want to play for a long period of time I always go on these large losing streaks.
I also have ADD, I've played starcraft on and off my medications but I end up having the same results. I consider my mechanics quite good but to be honest, zerg doesn't benefit from mechanics but rather more decision making. Is my decision making just horrible and thats why I cant make progress?
Would love to hear some theories and some different approaches I could use to try when playing the game.

Zerg doesn't benefit from mechanics? Thats very untrue. Larva injections, creep spread unit and drone management is all mechanical. Zerg is actually a race that has shit to do all the time.
I would say play very solid builds, be mechanically clean and know when to drone and when to not. You need to know how to approach certain styles, because if Zerg knows whats coming, they can usually win against it. You should work on your gameplay and especially transition.
If you defend an attack and you have tons of units left in the early - midgame, you made too much units and not enough drones most likely. A good Zerg wants to defend with as much as needed, but not more than that.

If you dont make large mechanical mistakes, your problem probably lies in the knowledge of how to pin your enemy on a build, scouting and reacting to your opponent. If thats the case research some knowledge about popular builds or builds that you lose to often and what you have to look out for. Without replays tho this is only an assumption.

Watch some replays, try some unit comps you don't normally do, get decent with those, then come back to what you're doing now as a better player.
Stretch your skills, in a sense. Just like physical workouts, you stop getting ''gains" if you put your body through the same tests week after week.

Well, I play protoss, and pvz is generally about timings. However, if you're losing to diamonds, there are larger issues at play.
You don't really describe what you're losing to, simply that you're losing. Perhaps you need to re-evaluate your builds/strategy's and how you scout. What are you losing to specifically ? Do you like to macro, are you a cheeser? You haven't really given us much to work with. The fact that you believe zerg doesn't benefit from mechanics is rather confusing... If anything, zerg is the only race that actually has to use their racial mechanics.

Ok, thank you guys for the feedback. Here is some more information.
I usually like to macro, my best matchup is zvz. Thats why I think my mechanics are my biggest skill, I always win baneling wars, can macro roaches and know how to do decent 2-2 roach timing attacks. My muta harass in zvz is decent and I know very well how to ling run by and when I need spines at my base for their attack.
I think my main flaw vs terran is hellions because I do not have map control. I love to stay ling only and starting 1-1 and 3 base before getting my lair. If they are going bio and are aggressive I can always build lings when they push out and surround before they get to my base. Vs hellions I always feel in the dark because I cannot scout with lings and I feel the terran outmacro me because I cannot get my 3rd base as quick and when I do im always paranoid that they will just simply run by my spines and kill my beautiful drones.
Vs toss I still struggle against 4 gate variations. I can kill the first probe and pylon but if they do not attack by around 6:40 I think they are not 4 gating and build drones and die or if they do something odd like a built gate n cyber at the natural. vs FFE I keep track of when they get two gases on natural and send 2 overlords in at 8 min and an overseer at 10. I Usually win by denying the 3rd and starving the toss out.

As for ZvT i suggest you look at the builds Stephano used vs Polt. Go for very fast +1 melee +1 carapace and use roaches to push hellions out of the map. Expand and go for 14-15 min Broods. ZvT is all about getting broodlords the fastest possible now.

Zerg benefits from mechanics more than every race. do you EVER miss an inject? Do you have perfect creep spread (IE: You spread tumours on cooldown)? What about your gas timings? Are you able to totally identify what your opponent is planning for you, or do you get caught off guard?
This is really more a strategy forum question, you should post there and include replays. You say your mechanics are really good but you'd be surprised how BAD you actually can be without realizing it - it can take someone else's critical eye to clearly see that certain things make you miss injects, or certain units you control improperly, etc etc.
