A lot of you reading this found TL just after SC2 hit. That's fine. I only knew of TL before SC2 because of its replay section. Many of you probably know of a certain LiquidTyler as that guy who used phoenixes during the beta, did well in a few MLGs, had some kind of donut eating marathon. And that's about it.
That's fine! But please take a moment of your time to watch these purely analytical VODs. These were the VODs that got me into Starcraft, and made me understand that this Game was not all about pushing buttons. If these 5 youtube videos hadn't existed, I never would have visited teamliquid in the first place nor heard of this thing called esports. I never would have discovered these characters named iNcontroL, white-ra, Day[9], tasteless, artosis, etc. When I open chrome, I wouldn't immediately hit t-enter to bring me to the teamliquid.net homepage to see what was up, who was streaming, and so on. I wouldn't need to write strategy forum guides to procrastinate when writing papers at college..
The list goes on.

Perhaps now you will understand the latent hope us nony fans have for tyler's success in SC2, though as of right now we get that he does not have the time nor the mindset to dedicate enough of his time to practice.

Yeah go nony! I think the most enjoyable nony-related video and probably one of the best sc-related videos is of artosis (with tasteless) recording nony's run through the Courage tourny.

Big NonY fan here as well. I found out about him from artosis' video of his courage run. Later on, before TSL2 happened, he was one of the few top BW players (along with ret) who streamed their practice. Watching his fpview was insane, everything moved so fast, and I remember noting how good he was at making pylons and macroing no matter how much shit was going on.
One game while streaming, he did a 4 gate rush (with 2 of the gates proxied in the middle of the map) on Fighting Spirit versus a terran who fast expanded. The terran got crushed, and I remember thinking to myself, how sick would it be if NonY used this vs. IdrA in TSL, as IdrA was known for losing to cheese.
Fast forward to their TSL2 Ro8 match, game 5 was on Fighting Spirit, and NonY did this exact rush to seal the deal and beat IdrA in a pretty big upset. He went on to win TSL2 and I've been a huge fan ever since.

NonY gives me hope when I play I always steal his builds because they are perfect for safe well executed play. When I am in a rut I just watch NonY vods over and over tell it clicks what I need to do.

Every tournamant, I hope for Tyler to do well. He seems like such a nice guy and on SoTG, he is unbelievably smart. I remember Day[9] saying that Tyler gets away with less practice because of how thoroughly and methodically he does - rather than just grinding games. Though I am curious to what you mean by he "does not have the ... mindset to dedicate enough of his time to practice."

I think Tyler has one of the better casting voices for analysis, wish he'd put out more stuff, and it's a rare occasion that we get to listen to his commentary via the black stream.
