A friend of my family used to work for Revenue Canada and does our taxes free of charge nearly every year and that's what my expected return was. If this is some cruel, cruel fucking joke then I am going to be the saddest panda within a radius of 100km+.
I have the hugest list of shit I could spend this on, although I could easily just throw it at my student loans to make a decent dent in it. I have other things that demand attention first though, since I don't even have to stop paying off my student loans until like September since I graduate next month (fuck yeah!).
For starters, my part-time job ends when I graduate, and I'm looking for a full-time job in the field right now already, but if I'm to be out of a job for a month or whatever this will keep my alive and paying rent for a while!
Other things:
I just got a traffic ticket today because some bastard stole the "N" sign off the back off my car and I got pulled over. They know it's common that the signs get stolen, but quite frankly don't give a shit and/or can't cut me a break because of it.
I organize SC2 related stuff (barcrafts, tournies, etc) in the local area and would love to put a little bit of it towards a prize pool for a tournament :3
The microphone on my headset broke recently, so I've been using my brother's crappy headset since he's out of town. It makes me ears sore and really is a low quality piece of crap.
I want to go snowboarding before the season is over! I'm fucking Canadian and never been snowboarding at the age of 20.
The house could use a bit of fixing. Shit costs money, enough said.
My dad always takes me and my brother out for beer and wings on wing night and pays the tab. My turn! Can't forget a case of beer at home of course.
OH I CAN KEEP GOING. Pleaaaaaaaaaaase don't be trolling me gods!

Lol I get some back every year because I'm a very very poor student but honestly it just goes straight in my bank account to make it slightly less red... slightly.

Getting a tax refund is almost better than Christmas! The year before i went travelling South America the government gave me back $1,600 just before i left! It was insanity!
Student loans sounds responsible - a little bit too responsible.
I'd go --> Headphones, wing night, traffic ticket and rent.. in that order

I wish I got a decent return. Working full time means I might get enough to cover a meal. Nothing fancy, like McDonald's or possibly Burker King. I probably pay more to submit my return than I get back which is hardly an incentive to complete my taxes.
Nice cash injection you have there. I agree that paying for your student loan is way too responsible. Free money should be spent recklessly, like buying an oversized Mario shaped teddy bear, or a years supply of jelly beans.

There's 3 phases here to getting your full license:
1) You do a written test. If you pass you get your L (Learner's) license. With that, you have to drive around with someone who is 25+ and has their full license (class 5). You have to display a magnetic sign on the back of your car with is pretty much just a large green "L".

Yeah, you're right about the license. Described above in detail.
The monthly student loan amounts are only like $25/month, and I don't have to start paying them until I've been out of school for 4 months. I have like 7-8k in loans, so obviously it would take a long long time to pay with just the minimum payments, as well as I'd pay twice as much in interest over that time, but it shouldn't take long to pay off once I get my full time job in the next couple months.

The sweet thing I have is our family friend who does our taxes free of charge. They're really really nice people, and I feel kind of guilty by not paying them anything, but they insist on doing it for free, so meh. I'm probably going to stop by sometime in the near future and give them some kind of gift in return though ^^

With your N you can only have 1 passenger, but can drive without an adult w/ full license in the car. It's really common to have your N sign stolen by people. Then you don't notice it's missing if you don't check every day and suddenly get fined for not displaying it ($107).
A friend joked about stealing mine recently since he was saying mine hasn't been stolen in a long time, but I think he was actually serious now.

It can vary pretty heavily from different campuses, but the average tuition per semester is about $2000-2400 depending on the program, with another $500~ on books and other fees. So each year is probably between $5000-6000 for a regular course load. Mine is probably one of the more inexpensive ones; the tuition and frees at main university in my city are roughly double that of my college.

Actually the thing that scares me the most is that if the senior drivers had to renew their license by taking even the N test I'm sure 99% of them would fail. Not just because the test is pretty strict, but they honestly are much more of a threat than the majority of new drivers. I see them run stop signs and break the rules of the road unintentionally all the time because they are delirious, have poor vision, slow reaction time, a combination of them, etc, etc.

Better yet buy it for him, but "accidently" spill it over him. The real test would be if you told him you were fined without asking if he stole your sign. If he doesn't fess up voluntarily, a beer shower is in order. Of course this assume you know he stole it but hey you get to shower someone with beer, what could go wrong?

Old people are like the best lobbyists ever. No chance in hell a change like that would get through. I agree that they are scary as hell but no chance. What with "victimising the elderly" and "my grandma can't get to the store anymore" and "walker parades" anyone pushing this would be thrown out quick quick.
