Hey guys, here is the deal, I love Starcraft II, I love TeamLiquid, but I unfortunately have ladder anxiety which is so bad that, I just dont ladder anymore. So all I do is aimlessly check for something interesting on the forums to comment on, but thats not enough, I even tried BroodWar but I got anxiety from that as well. I like CounterStrike:Source, and am good at it, but im not in the mood for it lately, or any other games
I was wondering if there is anything I can do to contribute, or make a hobby of? I have done a little work in the Liquipidia forums, making some player stubs etc and giving some pictures, but thats it.
Is there anything else I can do? I really am not especially good in anything.

Everyone can be good at something if they apply themself and learn.
If you enjoy writing perhaps start writing or a regular blog. Maybe try to work on getting over your ladder anxiety. You talk as if it's something that your stuck with and can't change. Alot of it is just mental anxiety which can be overcome by just doing it. If 1v1's are too stressful play team games of course. Or find something else that interests you.

There are other ways to play SC2. I don't play ladder almost at all. I like comp stomping, the co-op mode, playing with friends and all that.
Other than that, there are all sorts of things you can do if you give up on the bullshit reasons that keep you from doing it. Start a show, write a blog, collect comic books, learn to paly guitar. All of these things require a bit of work though. You are good at something, I am sure, but you need to find that thing you are passionate about. It is not just about like and love, it is about passion.

Well I used to be a very good football player, but my ankle injury has since plagued my leg, so I cant play anymore and im not allowed to. Besides that I didnt really do anything else except go on the computer, other sports are pretty much out of the question because I simply cant afford them, and ive tried looking for a job and nothings popping up

Welcome to my world.
You can do what I do. Post on the forums and just contribute, go and do shit. I don't ladder much, but I love StarCraft and I love the community. Start writing articles, contribute to Liquipedia, see what's needed and do it!
I know it sounds ambigious and unclear without a direct path, but just do whatever you want do. Maybe consider the idea of hosting a BarCraft (I did/do BarCraft Montreal). Maybe you like reporting on news, have you tried applying for contributory work with organizations (I do ESFI World SC2 and learning about Dota 2's scene with the help of the ESFI guys!). Write reviews or battle reports on big matches in leagues, help organize a tournament (I applied for work with CSN)! I know the guys at Nine Hour films are doing a documentary of EG titled: "Good Game", I'm about to help them do some transcriptions, have you considered that? Maybe you want a club or community within your university? CSL Team? Believe me, the steps and pitching is something hard you have to learn (I had to do it twice, one for my own university and another university I was helping!), but the reward is great and the new friends are invaluable! Commentating? I can't do it very well, but it's sure as hell fun! Playhem let's you commentate most of their games, give it a shot. I tried, failed, but still do it for the heck of it, find a friend and try and develop a chemistry that is both awesome and pertinent!
Maybe you'll want to help manage a team, get them sponsored or try to contact potential sponsors/companies. I did that with VT Gaming [and Team Dynamic later on] and got them a small sponsor with literally no background knowledge or proper schooling on how to send out sponsorship inquiries (I later learned about sponsorship packages, etc.). To be honest, you just have to start somewhere and soon you'll be doing everything. Not perfectly, but you'll learn how things work and what you can do the more involved you just get. Don't go in thinking everything will be a successful, go in thinking how much you can improve an area or at least, how much you can improve yourself.
I'm doing a ton of stuff now, but still nothing in comparison to a lot of very skilled and smart people, but they all started just as new as you and I. There's no pay involved, but the reward of accomplishing or just feeling useful (and accredited) is almost payment in its own right (though being sent to at least one event would be nice ;; ) Nonetheless, do what you can do, not what you think you don't know how to do, because believe me, a lot of people started with knowing nothing and learned as they kept trying.

Join the KMD club?
I'd most likely recommend trying out some other high quality game.

You don't have to play SC if you don't want to, but you should try to get over your fear of playing video games. There are much harder things in life awaiting you and now might be a good time to build skills that deal with the possibility of failure. If you set a precedent for avoidance with something this trivial you are going to have more anxiety problems down the road.
