First of all: No, I don't work for pinnaclesports or I don't advertise it, but as simple as I can say its the only site that offers starcraft2 bettings.
Hi. my name is Samuli "Fuzer" Romppanen, somewhat retired from starcraft2 "progaming" world. I was playing on Dreamhack winter 2012, assembly summer, copenhagen games, assembly winter, dsrack and so on...
Recently I've been making profit in Pinnaclesports betting site... So if there are anyone who wants to put their trust on my knowledge, this is the right blog to do it.
Here are the rules, I ONLY BET OUTSIDE GSL, if there are no FOREIGNS playing. Because I know "FOREIGNS" better.
So far I've won all my bets on IEM (4/4) and one is going to be played soon. (50euros / bet) (Real vs violet +1.5 to Real) (Demuslim vs xlord Demuslim) (Feast vs xlord Feast) (Real vs bigs Real)
If we look the open bets at the moment:
There are not much to say. I wouldn't bet on anyother match than to Slivko vs Snute... If we compare these players, Snute won the last bo3 by 2-0 and Slivko the one before 3-0... I've watched alot of Snutes stream and he is really good at ladder, but when it comes to "important matches" he gets too nervous. Snute doesn't have alot of lan experience compared to Slivko and Slivko is few years older than Snute, so my Call is to vote for Slivko, but the odds are chaning, when I made my bet to Slivko it was 1.92:1 and now it is 1: 7 which would propably turn my bet to Snute. It will be really really tight match.
Tommorrow or later tonight I will post my predictions about the next round matches.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
DAY 3
Okay, we have 5/5 so far, lets keep it going.
Well if we look the first match, Supernova vs Slivko, there are. The fact is that Supernova will win this, but the interesting question is does he win it 3-0? I mean, there are +2.5 with 2.110 odds for Slivko, which is a damn good. Slivko lives in RoxKis gaming house, where he can practice with bratok etc. So ACTUALLY I think that he is able to take _1_ map from Supernova, maybe with somekind of cheese or something, but one map is possible and with 2.110 odds, hell yeah I'm going to put 50 on that.
I'm ging to skip Feast vs Real, pvp with these players, no way to tell whos going to win.
RET vs DARKFORCE. All I have to say, DarkForce is horrible and RET beated all the zergs on last group stage, I put 50 euros to RET -1.5 (1.935). He has to win 3-1,3-0.
The last one is Demuslim vs Violet... Oh dear... Well the golden rule is, always bet on KOREAN if he is playing agains foreign. Violet bashed demuslim last time 3-0, on IEM QUALIES. The fact is that the straight bet to Violet to win is 1.263 which is too low to make me bet on it, I'm just going to skip this one.
So, Slivko vs Supernova, Slivko +2.5, Ret vs Darkforce RET -1.5

I know, stupid anti-gambling laws in this country T_________T
I'd absolutely LOVE to bet on SC2 games
|
Haha, It actually makes ZvZ interesting BTW. As I predicted, Snute made some stupid mistakes at last game, prolly because he was too nervous. HE had the game in bag.
|
Interesting, ive been thinking about betting on some sc2 matches myself good to know a site for this kind of stuff!

I wish I could use it in France...
|
If I could bet on foreign sc I wouldn't even need to work a day job.

I have some money sleeping in my paypal account. I guess I should start betting like you since I follow the scene quite a bit. I'll have to see if its avalaible in canada (can't check now).

I hope this doesn't spur match fixing T.T

Gambling is a bad habit yo :/

I'm sorta glad I don't have access to this, would be way too tempting. Careful guys!

Yeah, it's one thing to do well on liquibet or gosubet, it's another to actually make money betting on games. I'm sure the company also has people following the scene very closely, and they have access to all the information you do.
In the end, it's a lot like betting on horse races, sure you can have some inside information or know the strengths and weaknesses of every horse, but so does the house, and it's their job to make sure if you keep betting you won't come out ahead in the long term. That said, you obviously follow the foreign scene closer than most TLers and you seem to be doing well at it, and I do well enough at predicting match outcomes that if it were legal here I'd be tempted to try for fun. After all, you don't go into a casino expecting to make money, you go in expecting to have a good time and not go over your spending limit.

I mean, I know alot of stuff, I watch the scene closely, I even play against most of the players, I see the recent records, I see their ladder ranks. If I deposit 100euros and go "If I lose this, my life doesn't change, but it makes watching games more fun and I actually have A CHANCE to win"

Honestly, winning is what makes it dangerous. Our minds naturally fall into subliminal patterns, i.e. you start putting down 100 euros on EVERY tournament you watch. Just urging caution, hf and grats on your success so far =D

just out of interest, what is the minimum bet? Me and a few friends would like to try it with not too big of a commitment :p

^ I don't think there is a minimum bet, or perhaps 0.1€. You can deposit 5€ and make bets like 0.1 or 0.2€.

And by the way, IEM betting is like the most profitable thing ever. In fact, sc2 betting is like the most profitable thing ever. Foreign tourneys are pretty good to bet on, not a lot of upsets and skill levels easily identified.

This goes harder and harder. Group stages are the easiest.
